Agreed, although I had to scrub with brush to make it work for me. Smells amazing btw.

Honestly I wouldnt use any wheel cleaner on volks. Just regular car wash soap and water. I use a very diluted chemical guys diablo wheel gel with Mr. Pink soap and water on a cooled wheel.. Both Mr. Pink and diablo are 100% ph balanced .

Found this out the hard way. Used mothers wheel cleaner previously on my volks not thinking anything about it. "Safe on all wheels" it says. It caked this like faint white crust on my brand new wheels. Brand new volks ruined . I'll never use those types of products again. My sti sees snow from time to time. So once a year I'll use chemical guys Decon pro to get all the irons out and then use their wheel cleaner blue all year round.

Yep very similar experience w the more harsh and cheap chemical wheel cleaners. Even the chemical guys blue wheel cleaner I found would occasionally leave a slight white residue from time to time on my previous vehicles although it does clean very well. Decided not to chance it on my Rays haha |

Purple power diluted with water, let it sit on wheel and give a light scrub. Have been using it for years on various different wheeels. Cleans perfect.

yea I’d recommend like 5:1 or even 6:1 and it should be perfect. If you run higher performance pads like I have in the past then this wheel cleaner is honestly great for cutting through heavy daily use brake dust. Right now on my wrx I just have the stock pads so they are low dust and the diablo cleans the wheels just fine. But on my past mustang with oem wheels and brembos w upgraded pads the dust was crazy and the blue wheel cleaner really did help cut through all that brake dust. You just need to make sure u rinse the wheels quite well as to not have leftover residue from the cleaner, otherwise it’s awesome stuff. |

If you have the proper equipment put your car on Jack's, remove the wheels and clean the crap out of them. Once fully dry and preped correctly ceramic coat inside and out. It'll make them stupid easy to clean. I use soap and water most of the time. If need be about once a month I'll ironx them

the best way to keep your wheels clean is to ceramic coat them and just use soap and water

Just use something you can easily find at the stores that doesn't destroy your wheels. Don't bother with expensive cleaners. Your wheels are meant to be dirty because of all that brake dust and debris on the road. Unless you are entering a car show or something, a good old fasion soap and brush is all you need.

I have been using the chemical guys diablo wheel cleaner and I haven't had a reason to change up. I am not a brand loyal customer so willing to try other products but I am pretty satisfied with chemical guys so far.

Not a fan of using tire cleaner. I just use soap because it would get dirty again. Is there a new technology for dirt repellant? would buy that if they invented one

What you could do to make life easier in the future is get your wheels ceramic coated. Makes cleaning effortless. I removed mine and did the face and inside.

I'm not a fan of using acidic wheel cleaner. Ive been using P&S Brake Buster and it has surprised me. I used CG diablo before and it didn't do anything for the brake dust. P&S Brake Buster is cheap too. I believe i have it diluted 4:1.
