Default The same? H6 Rear brake conversion and 05 GT brake conversion

It is time for me to replace my 02 WRX rear rotors. I figure it's a good time to look into upgrading it to complement the front Stoptech BBK. I searched and found some posts regarding the LGT rear brake conversion. But there are two that are most common: The H6 (I'm assuming from the LGT) and the 05 GT brake conversion.

Are these two the same? I looked into Subarugeniuneparts.com's brake kit, but it mentions it's from a Outback. So I am now confused. If there are any difference, please point it out to me.

Thanks
-Jeff

The H6 is from the outback, and is a non vented solid rotor and uses your existing caliper with a new bracket. The LGT is from the legacy GT (duh) and is a vented rotor of the same diamater, it uses a different caliper.

Default Is this the correct conversion?

From Scoobymods.com Legacy Turbo Rear Vented Brake Conversion

Does it matter which year the LGT parts are from?
Thanks

you do not need vented rear brakes unless you are going to track the car

and they are heavier and not needed for street use

the 'h6' swap is easy, cheap, and works great....why **** that up????

I think that's a different conversion. IIRC turbo legacy is the mid 90's EJ22T based platform.

there are SEVERAL 'conversions'.........and the older legacy rear rotors arent 290mm which is what makes the 'h6' actually work the way it does

I bet there's a thread somewhere that explains all this. Possibly in the sticky about brakes at the top of the forum.
