The source file is actually smoother and cleaner than this youtube upload of my first video. Also, at 2:45 you'll hear the audio pick up several bikes way off to the left. (make sure to switch to 720p on youtube)

Damn that 720p vid look awesome. I want one where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

The price on this cam ranges from ($35 and up shipped) from Ebay, and they come straight from China. I think there are at least 3 different versions all with the same numbers:

Have you done any night recordings? Would like to see how well it performs in low/no light.
Regardless, pretty decent for only $35.

Why turn looping off?

The looping options are 1,2 and 3 minutes, and since 720p files don't hog up memory like 1080p does, I thought I'd just record lots of non looping files. However, if you do set it to looping at 3 minutes, you just have to REMEMBER to hit the "lock" video button incase you capture a meteor, accident or some other cool subies.

Also, to be clear, 10:02 is the longest the cam will record a file, but will also record as many different length files under that time frame depending on how often you're turning your car on and off.

I did but erased them as well as other files that I didn't want. The freeway night recording isn't as nice as daytime but does capture what is lit up and what my headlights are beaming on.

I'll try recording some city/downtown night files when I get a chance.

I had something similar in my car. FYI you can tuck the cable that's near the camera under the rearview mirror wiring housing.

Ah, i see. I thought the total that was fitting on the 32gb card was 10:02, so if you have an incident at 11:01, it wouldn't be captured

it only looks like that cuz its pointing down a semi-steep hill. I still have 8.7" of ground clearance. well, probably more like 8.5" with my goofy looking tires.

Thanks! I didn't want a purple one, as it would stand out too much. I'm going to make one out of a Crown Royal Cask No. 16 bag (might have to sew two of them together, as the base is smaller than the top). I MIGHT even use one of my two Crown Royal XR bags, but I don't know if I'd want to do that yet unless I get a duplicate, because I collect at least one of each type/size bag.

Maybe so, I mean there's quite a bit more that I've done to my car as well, but it's all been done within about a year's timeframe, so it's not like I did it all in one weekend. haha.

After looking on my phone and photobucket, it appears that I only have a pic of it all disassembled, as well as a few of the sealant after it was all put back together. Some of it is a little sloppy, but it should give you an idea as to where the cuts were made.

They were basically cut as close as could be to the lens. It was actually pretty scary knowing that I could completely **** them up so easily and I would have had nothing to replace them with. I still have yet to decide whether this mod, or drilling the holes in my carbon fiber trunk so that I could mount the carbon fiber spoiler, was more nerve-racking.

I might have slightly messed initially pulling this one apart... haha.

Tried my hand at skinning some things in carbon fiber and carbon/kevlar. I have both front panels done, just took pics of one though. Enjoy!

Off the car, it looks really raw and unfinished. I'm sure after you fit them on the car they would look AMAZING.

A better camera would make a difference. But yeah, the trim piece around the handle will "clean" it up and the switch panel needs to be finished still. I'm waiting until I get my windows tinted before I put them on.

The finish on your CF parts is pretty good, i guess it's only resin right?
Personally, i prefer to use peel ply to have something less glossy, and it absorbs excess resin...

@CobbWRX: you should also try these two:
Fiberglass supply
and Soller composites

No, it's got some clearcoat with UV protection. It's not vacuum infused, just laminated. I was thinking of ways to vacuum infuse it but couldn't think of a way since this was my first attempt with carbon fiber. It's more for looks than anything.
