I have some bottle condition beer questions.

-How long is too long in regards to aging?

-What is the best way to keep sediment from contaminating your pour?

I ask because I may have ruined a possibly great beer with the family over Thanksgiving

the victim:

These ones came out terrific, neither were aged though.

The Angels Share ale has nothing on the stout though. The stout knocks it out of the park. The ale was good, but not something I would spend the money again.

There was a batch or two of Nor'Easter that ended up souring. I actually thought that it worked quite well with the beer. It isn't what you would expect, but it was still a good beer.

this.
i feel that Fat Tire is not a bad beer necessarily, but it's over rated. ill enjoy one on a rare occasion if im making my own 6 pack or if its on tap for cheap

They make some good beer, my favorite being nugget nectar. The Mad Elf that I just purchased was unfortunately not one of them. My first drain poor in a while.

Mad elf is a very good beer and nugget nectar might be my favorite session beer of all. It's superb. Had some full sail ipa tonight. Not terrible but not great.

Thanks dude, yeah it was out of the batch you sent me, and you're right it was still drinkable. It reminded me of a bret or a berry based sour (which it basically was ). It didn't go to waste though, just wasn't what I expected.

Went camping for the weekend and drank:

Full Sail Pale Ale
New Belgium Tripple
Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse
Anchor Brewing Co. Porter
Firestone Velvet Merlin
Lindeman's Lambic Framboise (Breakfast Beer)

I also picked up the Mikkeller's Santa Little Helper to have closer to Christmas.

^^^ Ranger is great. Are you just getting into the micro brew world? You should be able to find some terrific stuff in Denver, you probably get the best of the east and west coast.
