I like Rolex watches as much as the next guy, but the miasma of desperation on one end of the spectrum and absolute douchiness on the other is really off putting from the “community” so to speak.

I’m acquainted with a gentlemen who is acquainted with a whale. The whale’s AD said she can get GMTs, maybe a one month wait for the whale/his friends. Acquaintance offered it to me at $15K .

Some folks just live in a different world. I feel the richies like what Rolex does, gives them something to worry about.

Trying to thin the herd quite a bit after going on a buying spree this summer LOL. Few nice pieces with very little wear. The PO is REALLY nice with a few unique features.

Tudor Heritage Ranger - with bracelet, two Chevrons, and a couple leather straps. Bought in June so plenty of warranty. Box, papers, warranty card, etc.

Oris Artelier Pointer Day Date - HpiRally helped me get this one brand new in March last year, unfortunately it's too fancy for my taste and generally very casual wear so it's honestly only been worn maybe 5 times. Comes with unworn OEM band and a black Barton leather band. Box and warranty card.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50 (42mm) - this one is so cool. This one has the highly sought after 2500D movement which has been serviced. Comes with mint OEM bezel and a very cool ceramic bezel from the Liquid Metal Limited Edition (does have two very small chips that are barely noticeable, and the upgraded micro-adjustable clasp which is brand new. Newer Omega wood box and papers.

Orient Star Outdoor - only worn this one a handful of times and I really like it a lot, but I found a lightly used SARG011 which had been calling my name so I'm going to keep that one instead. The power reserve is cool, the AR coating is definitely better than the Seiko, and it's more accurate. Really neat watch - I just like the looks of the SARG a tiny bit better. Comes with unused leather strap.

Not sure if it's kosher to post prices on here, so I'll add those if it's OK. Or just PM me. I have a ton more pics if interested.

The kid wanted to time how long of a Marble run he could make.

He wanted to use my Tag to time it. We got to 55 seconds for a single marble to make it down.

Selling my 556 A RS on a fine link. Bought in June 2020. Selling to fund another Sinn or perhaps something much bigger. But either way, need to move it out to make room as I am sticking with my One IN and ONE OUT.

New these are 1620.

I have gone over it and it looks like new. It comes with the Sinn Box, papers, warranty, tool, and clear protective stickers and all the links I removed.

Asking 1200 shipped to the continental USA.

It's been a few years since I picked up anything new. Kind of getting the itch just to spend money and pick something up.

Currently have 114060 Submariner and an 8500 Planet Ocean. I have no need/desire for dress watches.

Speedy Pro vs Black Bay GMT.

What do you pick?

Both? I don't you could go wrong with either choice. With the speedy, you get a manual wound chrono and a bezel that looks a bit different than your current pair of watches. With the GMT, you get a GMT with bezels that are somewhat similar to the Sub and PO. I'd go with the Speedy.

I wish I could afford both. Ideally, I could trade in the PO towards the GMT. I bought the PO from Topper, and they are the ones selling the GMT.

Then, I could potentially buy the Speedy (from DavidSW).

That would be a damn solid 3 watch rotation. But the stars would really need to align for that to happen.

I can't remember if I've asked for opinions here before or not, but have any of you seen good aftermarket bracelet options for a Seiko Bullhead? The stock bracelet is just super flimsy and I don't particularly like how much it tapers to the clasp.

Grand Seiko is releasing a new full production line of season themed GMT watches in the US, due to drop this May. Two Hi Beat automatics and two Spring Drives.

https://www.ablogtowatch.com/grand-s...ch-collection/

I've been considering a Hi Beat GMT in the future and this announcement has confirmed it for me.

I am sold on their 'Spring' themed Hi-Beat

I guess a Spring Drive in the spring watch would've been a little too on the nose.

Speedy, not another diver despite it being a GMT.

I had that thought too.

But their their Spring themed USA exclusive dress watch, the SBGA413, is a Spring Drive, so there's that...

AKA the pink Sakura dial...

I too would choose the Speedy Pro over a GMT that looks like yet another Diver style watch, TBH.

But as I've said previously, I lean towards GMTs that don't have that Divers style looking 24 hr bezel.

Speedy. It is every bit as good as people say. The black bay GMT is an awesome watch but the markers seem too small for the dial to me.

Get the Moonphase Speedy, then get bored of it and sell it to me cheap. Or go nuts and get a Ploprof.

I'll join in voting for the Speedy Pro. The Tudor GMT is a very cool watch, but when I had it, I worried about the date issue. You can never be comfortable with a watch knowing that its movement that can take a dump on you any day without warning (even though I never had any issues with mine).

Neither. Get something off the beaten (to death) path. Why not a Triton Subphotique?
