Small mod...

I was told by the dealership I purchased the car from that the previous owner was "Yuge". They didn't elaborate too much, but I believe the size of the original owner contributed to the wear of the stock e-brake handle (as well as the accelerated wear of the driver's seat bolsters of the seat back cushion and subsequent failure of the driver's seat heater of the seat bottom.)

I have since had Subaru replace the driver's seat cushions (both seat back and seat bottom) under the 3 year 30,000mi warranty as well as the seat heater units for both the seat back and seat bottom (the seat bottom heater was the only one not working but they replaced both since they come already glued to the cushions from Subaru). The seat bottom cover had a small burn mark on the inside of the cover when you flip the cover inside out, which must've happened when the seat heater failed. So they replaced the seat bottom cover during this warranty claim as well.

Now onto the e-brake handle...
Instead of replacing the e-brake handle with another stock e-brake handle, I decided to research what my aftermarket options were.
I came across this thread by FastWRX:
How to: Change e-brake handle (2008+ Impreza/WRX/STI)

I'm not usually a fan of carbon fiber, but I didn't mind this handle.

Here's the before and after:

Subaru OEM E-Brake Handle - accelerated wear

Thank you! Definitely not doing anything that hasn't been done already. Just trying to pick and choose all my favorite parts I've seen over the years.

Just subscribed, but should've done it earlier. I followed your old build. Nice start with the mods.

Hopefully you guys don't mind my crappy photography skills...
Finally got around to installing the Valenti Interior Lighting Kit:

Lights off

Lights on

Lights off

Lights on

The camera is exaggerating the saturation of the temperature of the light. They are pure white to the naked eye.
In fact, they are so bright, my passengers have immediately asked me to turn them off when I turn on the dome light.
Dare I say too bright. Needless to say, very happy with the look of them.
I didn't snap any pics of the trunk light or the license plate lights, but those were also part of this kit and have been installed.

I have a handful of small mods waiting for nicer weather to be installed. Supposed to snow here this Friday. Next month will be a big month

My goal is to install the coils, lca's, wheels & tires at the beginning of April. But I also was hoping FEAL would be ready to release the Electronic Damper Control Kit for the 441 coilovers prior to install. So I'm a little torn on waiting or moving forward with the install.

Haha. I had no idea so many people would know the wheel by only showing that much. Oh well.

Ah nice! The matte blue is a cool color. The ZE40's have really grown on me. I thought I wanted a wheel with a lip. but I love the concave spokes of these.
Thanks for the compliments on the build. It's getting there

I do! Thanks chongl! Picked it up back in October. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my WRX, but I'm getting close to having the STI where I want it.
Still have your narrowbody?

Trust me when I say this does not fit the STI shifter surround, but this is what I have:
Auto Meter 2 5/8" Gauge Pod Cup

Currently shopping for a better smaller solution
