![]() Had a pretty productive weekend again! Got the TB flange and plenum back cap welded on. This means the IM is officially complete, except for powder. But that’s all being done once all fab is complete.
Today I finally got around to making the turbo manifold jig. I decided to go bottom mount. You don’t see many of them, intake temps will be a bit lower, and the exhaust routing is much straighter. It’s going to look wild! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Amazing as usual in here. That intake should flow nicely!
Also like that trick with the screwdrivers on the wall through a simple 2x4, organization always saves so much time. Excellent workshop you have there. |

Thank you! I’m pretty stoked on how the IM turned out. And the Alphaloc couples are super badass. Love them. An organized shop makes life WAY easier. |

![]() Well I last minute decided to order the new icengineworks manifold modelling pro kit to design perfectly equal length runners and make life much easier. Should be here Monday then it’s go time on the manifold. It’s like LEGO for the car nut haha!

![]() Talk about a cool tool, that will let you get super creative too because you can try anything your mind can come up with and you won't be wasting material or time tack welding it all up. Put it together in a real quick and test it out, doesn't work no problem try something else.
Looking forward to photos of this! |

![]() Not sure if this would be any help to you but this guy garage building a Ferrari v12 used noodles and welding rod to shape out his spaghetti header. Seemed to work really well.

![]() Interesting method for sure. Had I not had access to this kit I have coming, this could have helped. But this Icengineworks kit has perfectly measured lengths, indexable, and measured bends that will make it simple to achieve an equal length design.

![]() TSSFAB does some really nice work, I know a few people running some of their stuff and it's mint.
Can't wait to see all your stuff coated when finished. I have a feeling this is going to be epic. |

![]() That’s relieving to hear as I don’t have anyone around that’s ran their products!
Yes the coating will tie it all together soooo nicely!!! |

![]() I have both front and rear frames from TSS Fab as well as the T-bar, lateral links ect . . . (Everything but the front A-arms). Great products that take a beating!!! Plus they are great people to deal with ontop of the quality parts.

![]() My Icengineworks kit arrived this week. This kit is crazy handy. I finally found some alone time last night to sit down and brainstorm various runner ideas. After a few reiterations I think I’m satisfied with my design. I tried to keep it as equal length as possible while retaining decent symmetry for aesthetics.
Now I’ll tack a runner together, bolt it to the engine and double check fitment before going forth with the metal work. Should fit mint though. Also need to figure out how I want to do the wastegates. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() I now have 5/6 runners tacked up and should have the 6th done Sunday. I’m super happy with how it’s coming out. Going to be wild looking with the 6th runner in place. Then it’s time to figure out my wastegate locations.
What a long process though! Wow. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

What size tubing? 2" sch 40? Looks beefy. |

![]() Photos are playing tricks on my eyes, sch 40 would be over doing it anyway. Both turbo kits I made were sch 10 up pipes, and I had some decent sized turbos on them with no cracking. In your photos I think the beveled edges must be making the elbows and tube look thicker.
1.25" sch 10 multiplied by 6 should flow. Especially that short of a run to the turbo. There's not much length or bends to add a lot of drag there. Looks legit! |

The flow should definitely be there!!! |

![]() Well I found a bit of spare time to get the entire manifold all tacked up and the wastegate tubes added.
Final welding has began finally. You sure burn through argon with a large cup and pack purging. Hoping to have it fully welded by Sunday night. This thing looks nuts in the bay! Really pleased with how it’s turning out. Also......I decided to splurge and build my head, so I ordered the following: -kelford t202-d 272 cams -Manley spring/retainers/keepers -gsc valve stem seals -Fluidampr crank pulley -Titan cam gears -Arp 625+ head studs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
