Well gents... Friday was a sad day. We were just cruising around town when on the way home the car died out.

Easy check so far: No spark, No fuel. No injector Pulse. Crank & Cam sensors tested passed and swapped JIC. Timing is fine. I'll dig a bit deeper during the week but for now I suspect wiring/ecu.

Thanks man, so do I. It sucks because I just shipped an 05 sti chassis harness to someone involved w/ renner. If I only would have known. I would have waited for this day and just preformed the STI engine and trans swap because I was planning to buy the 5lug & brembos.

Trouble shooting has begun. I'll take the manual and break it down day by day. I'm doing it in such fashion to avoid any frustrations or traveling down the rabbit hole with one thought. Each day I do some testing (in my mind) it will be approached with a fresh set of eyes. It will take longer of course, but no rush.

DIAGNOSTICS FOR ENGINE STARTING FAILURE

CHECK MAIN RELAY
1)Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2)Remove the main relay.
3)Connect the battery to main relay terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
wired up a lead from the battery and split it once inside cabin to ensure T1 & T2 would see batt. 12v.
4)Measure the resistance between main relay terminals
NO. 3 - NO. 5 Less Than 10? Yes
NO. 4 - NO. 6 Less Than 10? Yes

Conclusion: at this point main relay can be ruled out.

Thanks Murrdogg. Although I do not have a fuel psi gauge pump turns on every time and spits fuel violently, don't ask me how I know, LOL. But I'll continue my diag. and note that as the possibilities seem endless w/out test to rule things out.

It is debilitating, I would end up on my knees or on my ass all of a sudden. Extreme headaches, sweat sessions that would turn me soaking wet like sitting in a pool. Body aches from head to toes, stomach pain and the runs, extreme fatigue, rapid breathing, light headedness, lung pain an irritation. Anger, inability to move, fear of death.

It is still in me after a little over two weeks, hasnít fully left me but Iím feeling a lot stronger.

Man I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad that you're doing better sincerely. I haven't had time to work on it either, awkwardly, but the plans are to get it sorted and sell it. I've found a bugeye w/ 77K that the wife would rather own as it has 4drs for the kids.

HAHA No specs yet, but its RAWRSOME! I might put the 05 front end on this one unless we find a 05 black one that is cleaner.

Yes, I was keeping it for my wife. She saw this bugeye on a parts run and said "my car." Then she started hunting for subarus. If you know her, if you ever see her searching for a car she's serious LOL.

@CK I don't mind shipping at all.

@willy haha cold blooded.

As I've mentioned to another member, I'm in no rush to preform some "ghetto fix," if I may put it that way. I have been doing a lot of ohm testing, voltage reference testing, wire by wire. Once it's all sorted I will post more. I've been coming home in the evening as of recently and haven't done anything for about a week. I do have a new MAF, cam and crank sensors to install; will preform a compression test, and continue depending on results. Lastly, I do have a back up EJ20 I will prep to drop in as well JIC I blew it. If I bent the valves (during the rainy week) I'll just pull the heads and repair.

No updates, I stopped messing with it for now. Kids "schooling," work, and others cars have me pre-occupied . I do miss driving it though.
