Curious how it is. It's not doing particularly well on RT with only a 48% right now.
Wanna watch it. Maybe tonight

I figured Chano would have watched it already. He seems to watch everything as soon as it comes out.

The Little Things wasn't very good. Never felt like it knew what it wanted to do.

Bad direction, bad editing and a strange score.

I can see how with a better Director, it could have been a Seven kind of movie.

That's disappointing.

I'm morbidly curious about a second season of Raised by Wolves...ok, you've done a bunch of crazy stuff, now tie it together.

Watched last night, kept wondering when the movie was going to start.

I still haven't seen Tiger King.

I was waiting to see what overall reviews were for The Little Things before I committed. I think it's something I might like as I watched a lot of thrillers/suspense/mystery films growing up in the late 80's and through to the early 2000's. Apparently it has that "throwback" vibe because the screenplay was written in the 90's by the director and he finally just decided to direct it himself.

Reviews I've seen have put it slightly above average, elevated by the A+ actors, so I'll probably give it a watch. WandaVision group watch is my priority on Friday evenings, so I would've had to watch this movie around 11:30PM to give proper input today and it just wasn't that kind of week to be staying up that much later.

I can get really sucked into movies even if they're just aaight, so I'm looking forward to this one despite mixed reviews.

Started on WARRIOR. 3 eps in
Based on Bruce Lee's writings. Set in San Francisco in 19th century.
So far, a very fun show, slightly reminiscent of Deadwood.

Best part is the choreography. The fight scenes are some of the best I've seen on TV. So clean and beautiful. It is obviously inspired by Bruce Lee's fighting style and it is impressive.
None of the BS shaky cam garbage that, for some reason, is still prevalent in action movies/TV (damn you Borne for introducing this garbage). When you have talented choreographers and actors/stunt people, you don;t need to mask the shortcomings by inducing motion sickness in your viewers.

Side note on The Little Things.
Kostamojen pretty much covered my thoughts on the movie.
Goddamn it, I was so excited about it. Such a great cast and what a massive let-down it turned out to be.
FFS, you had Denzel and this is what you came up with?!

Snyder's Justice League is getting an R rating for violence. Too bad it's not for naked Wonder Woman

Same. I think Leto is an excellent actor and I mean Denzel? I think both of their acting was on point but you said everything else. Direction was crap. Director is also the writer and Spielberg, Eastwood, a lot of directors passed. The story itself wasn't even that great. Cool to see Denzel being Denzel, excellent, and Leto transforming yet again. Movie was a letdown. This quality film drought sucks.

I didn't think the little things was too bad. Not great, but I wasn't let down. I think the thing that bothered me the most was Rami Malek's lips. Obviously I'm in the minority

FYI been watching B5 still, and for some reason HBOMax changed the episode order on some episodes in Season 1 and 2... Just figured I would give a heads up.

Finally finished Warrior. Great show. S2E9 was great. I love that the action and fight scenes are done well. No shaky cam BS. Hopefully they continue and make a season 3.

Warrior is on HBO now? I watched it many months ago on Plex because I wasn't about to pay for Cinemax.

I'm rewatching The Wire. I forgot they remastered it for Wide Screen and it looks very good although there are some who prefer the original 4:3 ratio as it was originally aired.

I've been pushing through that show for a long while now. I always hear great things about it. A couple of years ago I struggled to get through the first episode. Then I think last year I got maybe two or three episodes into it. Oddly enough I actually was compelled by the interactions, but not enough to prioritize the show.

Pretty soon here I'll have more opportunity to just chill and binge stuff and The Wire is most certainly on my list, along with the rest of the first episode of Boardwalk Empire.

It's definitely a slow build. It's a heavy character driven show, so it takes some time to really build the momentum. It's been a few years since I've watched it, it's very dated but really good. It's not the kind of show that you can half-watch with a phone in your hand. I have always found subtitles/closed captioning to help with those types of shows.

Yup there's a lot of characters involved and subtle nuances you have to watch for. I haven't watched in awhile so I still get lost on who's backstabbing who and all the other side plots going on.

100% I had to turn on subtitles. And, yeah, it's dated, which I guess now I need to view it as a period piece drama.

Wow. You're the first person I've seen say anything slightly disparaging about The Wire. Most people just rave about it, myself included.

It did take me almost the entire first season to warm up to Breaking Bad though.

Reminds of the thread here about popular things people hate.
