Wait. Now I'm truly concerned.

What exactly happens if they activate too early?

Are we talking don't feed them after midnight kinds of horror?

No. The UV from ambient light kills them. They are micro-computers encoded in RNA, taking advantage of quantum fluctuations to overcome the size limitations and increase their processing power.

Once injected, they multiply until the civilization has enough collective intelligence to learn how to protect themselves from "outer space", then they are able to survive on your skin.

Look...just read Blood Music....it explains it all.

"Travelers never came through space to [conquer] the Earth. They had no need. They had found universes in grains of sand.

My wife finally got vaccinated yesterday. No side effects so far. Not going to make any lame jokes about it. I'm just relieved she finally got it since she is an essential healthcare worker who was the most likely candidate to bring the virus home to the family.

Now we wait for shot #2. I can't imagine I'll be eligible for the vaccine until the summer. My kids are both too young to get it.

Just read on CNN that it takes a while for the vaccine to kick in. A nurse got tested positive for Covid a week after taking her first vaccine. Careful out there, people!

I think the general consensus is at least 14 days after the second shot. That's going to add up to at least 28 days after the first shot.

Got my first shot NYE, Second happens on 1/21. I plan on masking up and staying away from most people in general for the forseeable future. Mostly because I like certain persons, but I am not a fan of people in general.

It means she contracted Covid a number of days prior to getting vaccinated. Bad timing.

Try restarting it. You should feel something from the DOS booting up.

The way this vaccine stores music files is bull****. Can’t wait for a proper jailbreak.

I just rescheduled a dental cleaning due to the huge spike in COVID cases, they said they could get me in April. I told them I had a tattoo appointment one day and we could just do it the same day so I could skip out on work entirely.

"You understand you're much, much safer here at our office than getting a tattoo, right?"

"Yeah, well, if 4,000 people are still dying every day in April I'm going to cancel that one, too."

Don't sass me

Be patient. The so-called "mutation" will allow developers to release a better product later this year.

I’ve been dealing with a toothache on and off for months and just rescheduled the visit for that too because positivity got too high for my liking.

Don’t know if I agree with the assertion about the dentist office being safer than a tattoo shop. In one, people are likely wearing masks and used to adhering to health department regulations, in the other a bunch of people are sitting around mask-free with their mouths open as wide as they can make them while a dentist bounces back and forth between them.

Dentists learned to work with very high consequences exposure to patients early on in the HIV epidemic. During any serious dental work, a lot of fluids get sprayed around. While managing exposure to a pulmonary virus in this epidemic requires a different response, they have been on top of it. Just minimize your time in the office.

yeah, I had an appointment a few months ago and that went fine, but between the more contagious new variant and the huge spike in cases, as well as the increasing recklessness of my own clients at work, I'm not really looking to be going anywhere I don't have to be.

So, my wife got this today from the university she works for: UAB's COVID-19 Daily Update

The biggie is:

Quote:
COVID-19 Convalesced: You may have noticed that the COVID-19 patient numbers that we share daily in the COVID-19 Dashboard above often are very different from what you see in the local media. The term “convalesced” refers to a person recovering from an illness. At UAB Medicine, we use the phrase “COVID convalesced” to indicate that a patient is no longer considered infectious to others and can be moved out of our cohorted COVID-19 units. Early on, we did not talk about COVID-19 convalesced patients, out of sensitivity to those who thought hospitals were inflating numbers since they no longer had “active” COVID.

While we use the term “convalesced” to describe inpatients who no longer are infectious, these patients remain very sick or potentially unable to survive without intensive medical attention and care. Therefore, the number of convalesced has an impact on the services we can deliver. We will now share the convalesced number with the media, in addition to the current number of active cases, to provide a better look at the impact of COVID-19 on those most affected by the virus and the hospital resources required to care for this patient population.
Emphasis is mine, but you know this will be twisted to say "Look! These people recovered!" Well, no, they are still very very sick and in the hospital due to this very real disease!

Just thought I would give you a heads up for the new argument we'll be seeing soon.

Fortunately only about 3% of our HCWs here have declined the vaccine. We're about 80% vaccinated out of almost 18,000 employees.

Default COVID-19... gonna be COVID-1 Million soon. Take the vaccine and don't quote trolls.

Out of curiosity, when do some of you think we will see any effect on our nations positive test numbers from the vaccine roll out? Will areas with higher density population be the last to see results? What if we don’t see negligible results?
Is it sad that I don’t want to get my hopes up too high?
