Now I get why West Virginia is fairing relatively well.

The leader of Canada’s federal Conservative Party sends out a press release decrying Trudeau, and says, “What struck me was that 11 months after news about the spread of Covid-19 emerged, after thousands of lives and millions of jobs have been lost, and hundreds of billions of dollars have been added to the national debt, we as a country are worse off than we were at the start of the pandemic.”

My wife’s 10 bed ICU has been reduced to 7 due to being unable to staff due to COVID. They have 7 COVID patients tonight. WV is doing the opposite of well.

And my teeth are beautiful.

Judging by what I saw with my own eyes and overheard in conversations, the average person is still going full steam ahead with "normal Thanksgiving"

With the big day three days out, I can only assume that we are two weeks away from a sharp increase in cases.

Good news: two weeks after my positive COVID test, and four weeks after what I think was the onset of symptoms, I think my cough is going away. Definitely feel better this morning than previous mornings.

Even insects will pull together and act in cooperation for the survival of their colonies. We are the dumbest of dumb animals.

This has been the perspective of my family WRT Thanksgiving, particularly from my parents. They aren't conservatives or anything screwy like that, my dad is "at-risk" since he has a pacemaker and all that jazz and his take on things now is he could die any day now, might as well see his family before he goes.

Our superintendent of schools sent out an email basically telling people to stop being dumb. Our daily case count has gone from 5-6 a couple weeks ago to 18-20 now. The concern being that we've avoided spread at school so far but with more cases and Thanksgiving that may not last. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear for the weeks leading to Xmas. Some towns have already made those remote days and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we ended up having to follow suit.
