Hello Nasioc! My name is Drew and I am one of the owners of Mirm Autoworks in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. We are a small full service shop that does anything from custom builds to general maintenance and collision repair. We are a small staff of four(including myself and partner Igor) whose father started the company as a body shop in 1994.

This thread is documents our shop build - a 2004 STI we are bringing back from the dead. It has no bolt or part left untouched! This was started by an old friend over 10 years ago and has landed back in our hands to be finished(after being dragged on a trailer across Canada and back). He had it stored away with no plans for it, so he reached out to us to purchase the car and complete what he and Igor had started many years ago.

Basic outline of mods:
- Darton sleeved block, pauter rods
- Stage 3 heads with 280 cams
- Rotated twin scroll GT35R
- Custom fuel system with surge tank
- Widebody kit consisting on Varis, M-Sport, ZeroSports, Cusco, Chargespeed
- StopTech big brake kit
- Autopower Half Cage

Continuing on! Here is how we got her.. She got a quick bath and then went away into storage until we came up with a full game plan and moved stuff around our shop to open up a hoist she could stay on for a while.

Here are some photos of the shop and some of our personal/shop owned cars we've built recently!

1. Igor's F80 M3 - running Bootmod3 software(450WHP), Vossen wheels, KW suspension, eurospec front bumper, 18+ LED headlights.

2. The shop 1993 Toyota MR2 - we made custom rear end, Greddy style lip kit, OEM Porsche turbo twist wheels etc.

3. My 2004 STI - these are old pictures, built motor with bolt ons, Cusco front lip, LIC flares, INGS rear bumper. Sparco EVOs in navy blue etc. Nothing special!

4. Igor's 2005 STI - Karlton flares, built 100MM motor with GT35R twin scroll, twin disk clutch, SYMs carbon wing, Sparco interior, tubbed and wire tucked bay. Making 430WHP.

Back to the good stuff!

We immediately pulled the motor to go through it and make sure everything checked out. Resealed and dropped her back in to begin building a fuel system, wiring/tucking the car and creating mounting brackets and points for things like reservoirs, catch cans, sensors, oil cooler setup etc.

With the help of the man Alex Kallin from Boost Controlled Performance in Michigan we were able to start her up for the first time in roughly ten years! Making progress.

I love the flipped manifold. I don't remember anyone doing that back in the mid 2000s. At least no one with street driven cars.

The car wasn't running right so we dove head first into diagnostics. After going through everything possible and multiple emails, texts and calls with our tuner we found some funky wiring in the harness and a bad ECU. Repaired the harness and threw in an extra ECU we had from a shell and it immediately solved our issue.

From here we fabricated a new downpipe(old one was damaged during the trip from Vancouver by the shipping company). After that we threw on the titanium LiteSpec catback exhaust and boy does it ever look good with the ZeroSports rear bumper.

Decided that we didn't want to run the Work VSXX that came with the car and switched to one of my other sets of wheels! Work XD9 in 18X10 +18 offset finished in a custom deep bronze and wrapped in 295/30r18 Toyo R888s!

Also test fitted one of the Varis fenders

We are also selling the wheels that came with the car. 18X10.5 +15 Work VSXX in 5X114.3 all polished. Mint condition just could use a polish. $2400 hit me up!
