Anyone have much experience with M7 exhaust? Someone is offering it to me for $750 one year used and I haven't been able to find too much info. How's the loudness, drone, and fitment? Think that's a good price? Thanks for the help need to make a decision on it quickly! 2012 WRX

Does anyone have a sound clip of an 08+ WRX/STi sedan with unequal length headers and a cobb turboback?

I still cant decide on what to get....i want a Cobb exhaust because i hear its not really loud and has little to no drone...the only other exhaust im thinking would be SPT because i hear its not loud as well and little/no drone and i like the way these tips look more than the Cobb...

can anyone running either one update me on these? Ive read all older posts...

This would be for a 2013 WRX Hatch btw

The Q300 is great and looks way better than the SPT. I heard the SPT drones.

If you want to save some money go with this.:

http://www.cntracing.com/mobile/prod...gErRoCzxPw_wcB

It's a bit louder than the Cobb though. Or find something used.

Hi everyone.

When I was researching the SPT catback for 08+ STI hatch, there were very little comparisons between OEM and SPT. Of the videos I did find, none captured what it sounded like from the cabin, what decibels the SPT put out or tonal characteristics. Hoping to clear up any questions about the SPT CB, I made this video comparison. Use good headphones and enjoy.

My conditions were as follows:
- stock powertrain on a 2013 GR, with the exception of the SPT catback.
- videos were taken over 2 mornings to ensure similar cold start conditions.
- recorded with 2 GoPro 4 Blacks, open back case, using their onboard mics.
- sound pressure levels were captured using a Samsung S7 with Keuwlsoft SPL Meter app. I make no claims that the readings are properly calibrated, this only gives a quantitative measurement of decibels and tone relative to OEM.
- SPL Meter app was set to A-weighted

This was created in 2011, back then the loudest quad tip was the catback P&L.

Would anyone happen to know if there are any louder quad tip exhausts out there?

Thank you.

I really don't think that has changed. The P&L to my knowledge is still the loudest/deepest sounding quad tipped exhaust for the 11-14 WRX/STI.

just thought I would share input for anybody looking for a exhaust upgrade I had purchased the Nameless Performance CB exhaust 6 months ago I went with the 4in Mufflers with 3.5in staggered tips perfect fit IMO I know there have been a lot of mixed reviews with nameless because of fit etc but I went with them based on performance and sound the build quality welds etc were very nice everything lined up perfect( 1 man install and had no issues) fast forward to today just installed the Nameless Performance Downpipe once again build quality is amazing and everything lined up no issue, this exhaust sounds amazing very deep and throaty really brings out the Subaru rumble we all look to achieve with out being obnoxious, I cant wait to really see the performance gains achieved from this DP with the divorced wastegate and the fact it bypasses the cat going to schedule a tune tomorrow with the guys at NO LIMIT MOTORSPORTS Long Island NY so I will post finally info later this week but for people looking for a exhaust purely based on sound check out Nameless Performance
