And as for how it actually performs; if you see overboost with one and not the other, then I would hypothesize that the one that is overboosting is flowing better. A tune may be able to fix it. The wastegate being "enough" for your setup is kind of backwards. The wastegate's job is to hold back the turbo from spinning out of control. The more "tame" your setup (ie. less boost), the harder the wastegate has to work. At 20psi your tiny internal wastegate is being required to flow much more air than my large 44mm EWG needs to flow (at 27psi). Quote:

nameless is $974 with 5" mufflers (1124 with 3.5" tips) and greddy is $1300..possibly less if you shop around or find a coupon...its not a huge difference in price when you are already dropping $1000 for a catback (which is obsurd, but w/e) |

I would only be considering the Nameless with the Magnaflow muffler.
I'm not planning on spending $1,000 on an exhaust. |

its still 924
you should do a virtual dyno with the stock midpipe and no muffler...maybe you could get away with just the nameless axleback. Nameless originally said the 3" midpipe didn't really change the power much, although your situation is a little different |

I meant that in regards to the "looks from a low angle".
And I'm not spending $1000 on an exhaust. |

Did you know that used exhaust systems are often sold at lower prices than new?

lol so why are you complaining about the price of greddy SE if you are going used? I'm sure you could find a deal on one

Well it sounds so easy when you say it like that
If I could find a good deal on one, then I would have one. My comment was based on the fact that is basically the most expensive cat back and there are relatively few of them out there, so they're not too common on the used market. Oh well, I'll be swapping back to stock pretty soon. |

why not just keep the stock exhaust? Is it a sound thing or does the stock exhaust (catback) actually have some performance drawbacks?

I think the performance difference is very minor, and I don't mind it being quiet. So it really just comes down to the stock exhaust looking pretty mediocre compared to some of the better quad tip offerings. But for looks I'm not interested in paying more than a couple hundred bucks or so. Which pretty much means I'll end up with the stock exhaust, lol.

Earlier this week I realized it's been 2 whole years since I got my car! I figured I'd post a few photos showing how it's progressed over that time.

Oh no. Internet detective. Lol. I meant little to no difference between all the quad tip offerings that use a full size muffler. I do think it will probably lose some power vs. the Greddy Ti-C. I'd like to do some more back to back logs to confirm what I saw before. But I really don't think losing 20HP over the winter is that big of a deal to me.

I bought the Greddy knowing it wouldn't last. I'm kind of surprised it survived through the summer. I still might keep it and put it back on next summer, but if I can use it to fund a quad tip offering that I would rather have, then I'd probably let it go.

The gold wheels were definitely the flashiest look I had. They were nice and light too. I just wish they were more than 7.5" wide and I probably would have kept them. Oh the memories... |
