You dont have to do it all at once. You can swap the transmission first and wait on the engine so that it's out of the way.

I am currently swapping an 04 xt engine into an 06 impreza wagon. I am in the process of switching the fuel pumps and installing the forester fuel pump into the impreza but there is the 3rd fuel lines that the NAs dont have. Would it be as easy as taking that fuel line off the forester and installing it on the impreza?
