Default The Death of TSC (Toronto Subaru Club)

Nobody has mentioned it, but TSC (Toronto Subaru Club) forum has been shut down.

Instead they started some lame Facebook group page which is stupid since a lot of people ditched facebook in like 2012.

Anyways, I don't plan to ever return to Facebook since it's a garbage platform, so pretty lame how us Canadian basically don't have a Forum anymore.

Hopefully IWSTI & Nasioc stay alive.....cause sucks how these big forums die out and we lose all the old threads and information on our cars

R.I.P. TSC

I just went through my old email, looking to update my TSC stuff. Yeah, I also don't have Facebook, nor do I ever plan to get it.

I'll host a site if anyone wants a cheap ****ty version. Doesn't cost much, but time and donations are always welcome.

Default Oh No :(

Is it really gone?

I admit that I haven't been as active as I used to be, but nonetheless if it's gone then it's a sad day... it was more than just a car community.

I wonder if the forum archives are available. I applied to join the FB group (and I barely use FB).

Default TSC Gone but not forgotten...

Will miss the site...joined back in 2004 or 2005 can't remember, was when I had my first WRX. TSC was a very friendly crew. Having said that, NASIOC has always been top notch in terms of content.

Damn, I just found out today when I tried to visit. I found it was a really good forum for "regular" Impreza owners as this site seems to cater to the performance models.

Weird that no post with any explanation was made...no twitter post, no post here...I was a member from the beginning there (Rob 2K) but admittedly just lurked when bored for the last 10 years or so.

Touge (no actual tuner on staff, e-tune only on their dyno), Definitive (Justin is a good tuner, would recommend for normal stuff), Dynamotorsports (mainly tunes higher hp builds or lower hp shop referrals, my first choice and highly recommended), APH (I've only seen/spoken with people that have had bad experiences, buyer beware and do your homework)

bad experience, newly rebuilt engine blew up on a new dyno (had an impression that they personally did not know what's going on - Sasha that was their tuner before, left, and running his own operation), at least that what they said (rod bearing??). I have no problem that it blew but how's it all was handled afterwards. Would avoid.

Long story still ongoing that I will eventually elaborate on.

Definitive Tuning in Aurora - good experience.

It cost me about 10-20$ to run a website a year. I guess that was too much to ask for lol.

I scrolled all the way to the start of the TSC FB Page (slow work day) and it seems the problem was not the cost.

There was too much trolling going on and it was a Moderator nightmare.

A reply to this FB comment (link) suggests that was the main issue.

I went to a meet last week, first time in 13yrs.. i decided to show up at one of their weekly meets.

I then heard tsc was shut down. I was shocked since the forum had a lot of good info and now we are just stuck with tic tok and instagram.... tremendously collaborative platforms......
