![]() ok before I start.. please don't just tell me to get the right one. I'll do that on my own if I absolutley have to... I just want to know if there is an alternative...
now here's the thing.. I have a FMIC on an 02 WRX and I bought the APS FMIC BOV but the site I got it from did not specify that there was a different application for the different year models so they sent me the application for MY01-05 when I need the MY97-00 which should look like this... ![]() But I have the one that looks like this.... ![]() As you can see, the BOV return hose will not fit onto that because it does not have that piece that the hose can pushed over... Is there something I can do even if I can buy a part from the dealer from a later year WRX to make my hose fit that? Thanks, Marc

![]() go to autozone, buy a rubber longer rubber hose thats the same size as the bov return hose, and some couplers. simple.

![]() the one that I have is the bottom picture... The return hose should be hooked up to where the 2 hex screws are where you see the gold piston... I think you're either looking at the wrong picture or you're looking at the bottom part of the picture in the bottom pic...
the bottom part in the bottom picture is what goes to the intercooler piping.. I'm not worried about that.. but you're absolutley right about that part.. thats what I'll be doing.. but wrong part you're lookin at ;-) |

![]() The hole where you can see the gold piston is where you screw on the elbow from the stock recirculating valve. Just unscrew it from the stock one and put it on the new one using the hex bolts. I still have a stock TMIC and I am pretty sure that most FMIC's keep the bov in the same general location for the exact reason of keeping it close to the return line. There were no extra parts so I was running the bov at 100% atmospheric until I took my car to get dyno tuned and the guys at the shop told me what to do. PM me with any question's
