If the data reported for the WRX is correct (3150-3200 lbs), what wil the new STi hatch weigh?

Will be lighter then the current STi.. why? since the wrx stoped with aluminum parts, it still has 3150-3200lb curb weight

plus, theres been hints from members on this forum that the stop aluminum does not apply to the new sti (if i remember correctly)

OK, this polling stuff is getting out of hand.

I am waiting for the horsepower, torque, suspension, tire, brake, anything other detail we can mull over POLL.

The magazine stated 3100-3200 lbs. Good enough.

It'll be 50 pounds lighter than the current STI.

It'll have tiny pockets of helium throughout the frame shaving exactly 5.7 lbs off the car. They will use this technology on the new Tribeca to make it the ulitmate SUV...now with 'boat mode.'

Honestly though, i think it'll be about the same if not a little heavier.

Sounds good. And I'll go with same weight as the current STI for the 08 STI equipped with the DSG.

It'll definitely be heavier IMO.

ALL cars are getting heavier these days with the new standards and stuff.

maybe you should hold this poll until the STI is closer to debuting... atleast in the same half of the year.
