IIRC, Speedworld was selling 102 or 104.... Maybe Aaron or Dan can comment?

do you think those octane boosters are worth anything. i was going to just add some race fuel for a cheaper answer to higher
octane and i don't drive my car enough to care about gas mpgs.
just for some better performance. what do you all thing? waste
of money?

Octane boosters ARE a waste of money. It takes 10% octane booster to see a boost from 91 to 95 octane. The amount you can buy at Pep Boys might raise octane to 91.3. Race gas is the only real way to go.

76 at 56th street and Bell Rd. sells Race gas. But, IIRC, anything above 100 octane has lead. Definately no good for today's modern engine and emission systems.

Good luck to you.

From what I've read here nobody's been particularly impressed by the booster in a can. There was a thread or two about making your own using chemicals from the hardware store. I don't remember the specifics. You could also search under octane booster.

Why do you need the 108 octane? Are you going to going to have multiple boost maps for each octane level 91, 100, 100+? I didn't think you could have multiple maps with the unichip, but I am not a WRX guru by any stretch of the imagination...

I think the stuff at Firebird was 106 and it was $4.50/gallon or so. You must have some major boost!

well when i go do some 1/4 runs mark at turboxs said when running the 2.0 program you can turn up the boost some but
recommemded a knocklink or egt. to look for any det in engine.
i think it would be safer to mix some and cheaper if i had a higher
octane to mix opposed to 100 octane? and if a go catless i
don't need it reprogramed. hehehe free hps, but probably louder!
