I only drive when it monsoons. And when I say drive, I mean drive like a crazy man as fast as the thing will go. AWD is a must for traversing flooded spillways and roads with 5 foot standing water. The smaller lower the car the better.

You should drive real slow in the dry, and act racing while you commute to your cubicle job. And rev the tattays off it in the drive thru line to get a sack meal!

It is quite funny that warm/dry/track times is acceptable. Oh you drive in inclement weather, you should not be doing that bro! On ramps only bro! Stop light racing and highway pulls only bro! Come on bro! Churros!

I think AWD helped a little bit here on a damp/wet track.

It makes the side profile look weird, and the car looks like it has 'bitch hips.' The core needs to have a wing option to help complete the side profile a little, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.

The WRX is ugly as hell, and GR Corolla looks like a hopped up chick car. I'm trying to figure out which one the Ford F-150 owners will laugh at more.
The Corolla hatch and GR4 both look at lot better in person and I think this will too. I do hate when carmakers sacrifice space for some questionable design, Mazda3 does this as well, pinching off both trunk space and rear shoulder room for some design aesthetic.

Subaru sold a $63k msrp Impreza that couldn’t run on California 91 octane. And that was at a time when material, manufacturing, and shipping costs were significantly lower Crazier things have happened, just sayin.

I’ll patiently wait for the hellfire to start from my comment.

Thats also about how much a mint low mileage legit AE86 Corolla GTS would go for too.

Your comment isn't as nonsensical as his is.

They're clearly not marketing the "50k Corolla!? " for people like him, who see a Corolla and ignore everything else that makes the car not a FWD family sedan. Especially not at the exclusivity that the Morizo will be. Even more so due to the fact they offer 3 different trims.

So for this guy to go" oMg 50K cOrOlLa" at the exclusive "track-minded" top-of-the-line model they offer with a 15k price tag difference is just silly.

Yep. It was Akio Toyoda’s request himself to make this version of the car. Lack of the Yaris being offered here so the crash testing, etc, costing bank. So the Morizo edition was his personal request.

And yes it is quite funny and quite ironic. It’s considerably less expensive than the 209 yet anything not a Subaru, here, oh never mind.

I mean, I get it. And the reviews back up the decision. It's just sad that we never got the GR Yaris and have to make due with the ME.

Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess.

Bet some markets will get both to choose from, if for what ever reason the buyer needs a bigger 4 door GR hatchback. Still salty over the teasing of the US market Toyota pulled with the GRY.

Also agree with the sentiment of the GRC "needing" the larger rear wing if only for aesthetic reasons. It's like looking at a WRC car that was missing the rear wing.

I forget which countries are getting both. I know Australia, and New Zealand. Don’t know who else but there is at least one other country.

I’m guaranteed a circuit but they call me with that Morizo and I have the $, damn it would be a damn hard decision and hard to turn it down. We will see how it goes.
