Default Where would I find 93 octane in Northern New Mexico?

Hey all... I'm taking my 280+hp GC8 to Taos/Angel Fire in about 3 weeks. Short of taking some octane booster with me, would I be able to find ANY stations that offer 93... even 92 in that area?

I'm all tuned for 93... I'd hate to think how my car will drive at 90 at high altitude.

Any thoughts?

-Kevin

Kevin,

No 93 anywhere around NM. You may even encounter places in northern NM with only 90 at the pump!!

Just about every place though has 91. You running a JDM 2.0L or GC Rs 2.5 N/A turbo kit?

Totally up for hanging sometime. Drop me a line.

[email protected]

I'll bring the suby crowd

One of my GC's is a STi Ver. 6.

Is your unichip mapped for 93?? You should be okay if your just turing through. Higher elevation helps out a bit.

Come to think of it, I know some people from santa fe, and they said you can get 101 at one of the gas stations there.

Santa Fe- I get my exterior parts painted around there..

Their is a conoco (I think) on airport blvd that has 101.
Last time I saw it, it went for $3.75 a gallon.

im in santa fe with an STI swap. We should chill sometime. I know a place that has 100oct most of the time. I usually do a mix of 7 100oct with 5 90oct. I would say buy a small tank to carry gas. I am gonna start doing that.

I am in Taos. I usually fill up with the 90 at the Chevron on the south side of town. Seems to be the best gas around. North side Shell at the reservation as 91, but I don't trust it. Turn your boost down a bit if you knock and you should be fine.
