Know why?

SUPER TONES

Got em installed today. I'm just waiting for a soccer mom yapping on her cell phone or a Harley to cut me off...their ears are gonna bleed if they do.

IF you roll with the windows down... remind yourself that you've got the Supertones in before you blow your horns at someone cutting you off under a bridge... or at least roll the windows up.

Ever since I got them in, it seems like these people are LOOKING to cut me off.

rallylights.com has a sound clip and I've run across a few on the forums, but believe me, they don't do em justice.

Supertones are great.
My first victim cut across traffic to get infront of me on an on-ramp nearly ripping my front end off. I let loose the fury behind the grill.... they pulled over and waved for me to go by

in your opinion, how much louder than stock 04-05 horns? 2X? 3X? or more? next time those effing geese are in the middle of the road, you'll probably give one of them a heart attck!

yeah, the first time I got to use them was awesome.

Was in the far right hand lane of a 4 lane road. Two lanes in each direction, no dividing median. Guy pulls out from my passenger side, in front of me, cause he thinks I am not approaching fast enough. Then instead of pulling into the 2 lanes going the oppisite direction as me, he STOPS. In may lane. and he just sits there. So As I approached, I layed on the hellas. Needless to say, I scared the crap out of him. He looked over with the proverbial deer in the headlights look, except, I think he thought a train was approaching.

stupid ass got owned.

If I had to guess, I would guess 10 times louder. I had them honked at me once, and I thought I was going to go deaf.

Dude, that would be an awesome slogan for them to use.

"Hella horns.....unleash the fury from behind your grill!"

I've got to get some Supertones for all the times I encounter punk-ass high schoolers lolli-gagging around in the middle of the street with their skateboards or whatever. Sometimes, they are jsut walking in the middle of the road, and give you a look like it's their god-given right to do so. I used to give 'em a blast of the 100W siren, but I have since removed that equipment from this vehicle.

Has anyone ever heard the 'train horn' in real life? I have a vid clip of some guys driving around and freaking people out with that. I'd love to get one, but don't like the idea of the air tank taking up room in the hatch area.

I can't decide if my Hella's are loud enough. The tone definately isn't what I expected. I thought it would be lower than it actually is. I'm running their relay, and from outside the car, its loud...but on the road, people don't seem too surprised by them. Maybe 4 will do the trick...

If they have a real Harley (loud, straight pipes) they'll never even hear you.

My thoughts exactly.

I installed two of them in conjunction with my stockers and they're loud in my garage but they don't scare people like the legend implies.

wow i never considered supertones before. these stories are amazing. I actually keep an air horn in my car for these situations, but it sounds like supertones will be much more convieniant. where can i get some? are they a hard install?

i'll agree these things are loud... i was working on the JDM over the summer and my g/f tapped the horn thinking she was being cute... lest to say i spouted a long line of 4 letter words and my ears were ringing for about 20 min straight
