Need Advice: Foam Cannons!
Hey Guys, What foam cannons do you guys use? I'm currently using a trinova but its starting to perform poorly. For the life of me I cannot remember where I purchased it to try and initiate a return. I was thinking about getting a MTM foam cannon.

I bought one off Amazon for around $20. Worked great for a while but then it stopped foaming like it originally did and was watered down. I guess you get what you pay for.

Thats exactly what is happening with my trinova. its not pulling as much soapy water as it used to, regardless of how much I turn the knob on the top.

How long did you guys use those cannons before they started foaming poorly? Supposedly you're supposed to run water through the cannon with no soap to clear out any blockages. I did buy a second cheap foam cannon that did not foam as good as the 15 dollar one I bought few years back

I got a good amount of usage out of mine. I don't have access to hot water outdoors, so I just got rid of it.

Most of these foam cannons have a wire mesh filter that can be cleaned or replaced. Takes a little bit of disassembly on the nozzle end, but nothing too hard.
I have the MTM PF22 and have over a year of no issues. They sell extra filters, picked it up half off during black friday last year. |

Got this one a couple of weeks ago from Amazon.
https://www.matcc.company/Foam-Canno...-p-185880.html Do you run plain water through it after every use? |

Chemical guys
Hey bud im using the Chemical guys "garden hose" version because i dont have a pressure washer. it works awesome and id say its 100x better then the pressure washer one. have different options for the foam. only thing is you need to use a heavier soap with it.

I’ve used both Chemical Guys’ garden hose version and (currently) pressure washer version and can testify that this is 100% wrong. Pressure works way better, which is why most people eventually go pressure washer anyway. I would get a good $100-$150 electric pressure washer and a foam cannon for it (I like my Chemical Guys one and it makes suds like crazy).

I have a Kranzle pressure washer and the same chemical guys hose attachment that you reference above for when I want some quick foam and don’t want to lug and set up the Kranzle. If you think the hose attachment is even 2x better than ANY pressure washer, I’d suggest that you are doing something profoundly incorrect with the pressure washer setup, or the weed in your part of the country totally blows away the rest of the country’s supply. Perhaps both...? But I couldn’t possibly disagree anymore with your assessment of the hose attachment vs pressure washer. |

I also use the Chemical Guys ACC 326 on all of my vehicles. Easy to use and works with any foam refill solution. I also clean it out with hot water after every other use to prevent buildup that may lead to clogging/failure.

Agreed. I have the older "original" MTM foam cannon. It's been bulletproof for 3 or 4 years and the only time it gets "cleaned" is when I fill it up for the next car wash. The newer PF22 has an upgraded nozzle, and the new .2 has the wider base so it doesn't fall over when empty! I don't NEED to upgrade, but I might .

Amazon foam cannon was around $15-20 range. Has been working fine so far.

I'll add my vote for the MTM PF22. I bought the one with the original bottle and I just recently got the "upgraded" bottle with the wider base so it doesn't tip over.

Not a big fan of foam cannons. They really haven't saved me much time. I like a car wash mp with a 5 gallon bucket with a grit guard and frequent dunking and rinsing of the mop. I can get the car washed in under 10 minutes without scratching.
