![]() Here two videos of the Plaid 450V and the Audi E-tron GT 800V getting charge from 0-100%.
So after 20 minutes of charging the E-tron GT is at 78% SOC with a estimate range of 259km or 161 miles. The Plaid after 20 minutes of charging is at 61% SOC and according to my Plaid with 19" wheel it has an estimated range of 240 miles. At 30 minutes E-tron GT 87% SOC estimate range of 291km or 191 miles vs the Plaid at 77% SOC and again according to my Plaid it should go 308 miles. Porsche just released a slower charging mode to preserve the life of the battery. After 15 minutes of charging 50% SOC is says 197 miles of range. I took the car again to the 1/8th mile and run [email protected] with launch mode and dragstrip mode I think I was at 91-93% SOC. I am planning on purchasing some brake upgrades and taking the car to the road course.

![]() Since we're just sharing Tesla-related stuff that isn't necessarily news, the car enthusiast in me enjoyed watching this content from one of my favorite channels:
As someone who just replaced a damper and has only ever swapped Subaru suspension, I enjoyed learning about Tesla's setup. |

For reference: The current record for gas ICE is 25hrs 39mins in a 2016 Audi S6. The current Diesel record is 28hrs 30min in a 2014 Passat TDI SE. The current record for motorcycle is 32hrs 52mins on a 2014 Yamaha FJR1300. The current EV motorcycle record is 7days 10hrs 17mins on an HD livewire; will probably see a lot of action in the near future. How important this is? Not at all. |

![]() Interesting their biggest driving performance complaints: 1. While it has the speed, it's braking is inadequate to match the speed 2. The power steering also can't keep up with the speed in turns. Last edited by edkwon; 11-02-2021 at 05:54 PM. |

I ordered a set of custom Chinese Forged wheels they should be here in two months for the stock tires. I will probably order a set of BC forged wheels in a larger size and go to 20" wheels when the tires worn out. ![]() I took my car to the dragstrip again and used launch mode and dragstrip mode. I think the car was at 94% SOC ![]() |

![]() I am starting to research my next car and since I have a 240V outlet in my garage I feel it's prudent to kick tires on everything including Teslas. I just don't know if I could handle paying $70k CDN for build quality this horrific. If you look at this thread is pages full or recent cars delivered in the fall of 2021. I have never seen anything like this ever.

![]() LOL what? I'm on BMW forums and there's not a single model remotely close to these issues. Hell I own an X3MC and it's been flawless in two years of ownership. Not a single issue as it's arguably the most perfect vehicle I've ever owned from new as most new vehicles may have a few little things to nitpick.

![]() Or you are wrong. I posted a Tesla thread of owners over the past two months that goes back over a dozen pages of similar build issues that quite frankly are appalling. All of them with very similar issues at delivery. You have nothing and what reported data? I know for a fact BMW at least has been above average for years now in vehicle reliability according to CR and JD Power. Sure you can dig up a post here and there from some owners of BMW, MB, etc that had some flaws at delivery but nothing like that 32 page thread. I'm not trolling here as the model 3 performance is still an option for me but I have to admit I've never seen anything like it in decades of being on numerous automotive forums. I have a Bronco Outerbanks on order and there's a lot of issues at Bronco forums (roof of course the biggest) but it's nothing like this. I invite anyone curious to check out that Tesla link page by page and tell me if you think that's minor compared to other Brands at delivery.

![]() oh! here's my recently discovered Tesla build quality issue!
2019 Model 3, May build. To replace the cabin air filter you have to remove a plastic panel under the glove box. One of the fasteners was missing when I went to change the filter. Turns out the fitment is bad and it didn't line up the holes, so they just left a fastener out instead of getting a new panel with better tolerances. |
