Battery cell technology is more important than just bumping up the voltage. The new 4860 will improve charging speed significantly even if Tesla decides to stay with a lower voltage architecture. I can't wait for my four motor Cybertruck.

I assume Lucid will beat the Plaid since they have a larger pack, 900v and 2170 cells.

There is only 200k reservations for the lighting while for the Cybertruck the rumor is around 3M. Even if only 40% of the reservations becomes order that's a serious number of trucks.

I think if Ford had the production capacity and dealers were not charging ridiculous ADM, the lightening would outsell the Cyber truck. However, Ford lacks capacity right now and dealers charging ridiculous ADM doesn’t help.
