Default Do you all think that the rice fad is pretty much phased out?

Here is Chicago it has significantly decreased IMO. Is this true elsewhere?

Not really, every wave of kids that turns 16/17 and gets a second hand car and works some crappy fast food job will be buying APC parts for his car. Guy across the street is a good example. Parents got him a used Saturn Coupe a couple weeks ago. Within 2 weeks, it had $15 rims on it and a fart can. I'm ready to put a grenade up the tailpipe because he revs the goddamn thing in the neighborhood all the time, and his fatass buddy with an equal fart can comes over all the time and does the same ****.

It's really picking up in Denver in the last 3 years. Every 5 minutes or so something with a fart can rolls by my place. Luckily, it's not mating season for my RS...

It seems to die down up here after the first two-feet-of-snow-in-a-12-hour-period we have each year.

I think it's the combo of still using summer tires and having 0.01" of ground clearance that either makes people re-think their choices or just causes them to die.

I noticed that around here too and was wondering what the next junk people will put on their cars is going to be. Seems that it comes in waves here, and dies out pretty fast.

-Air shocks with massive rear tires and skinnies in front (late 70's-early 80's)
-Under car neon (80's-90's)
-12" lowrider wheels & tires with serious offset projecting out of wheelwells (90's)
-Junk body kits (80's-present)
-Graded metallic tint (late 90's)
-Fart cans (late 90's-present)
-Lit wiper nozzles (early 00's)
-Dubs (early 00's-present)
-Donks (mid 00's-present)
-the future????

^^Pertains to Chicago and surrounding flyover country only. Your local rice may vary.

I'm in the burbs and it is less. I warned my son if he ever does that to a car I will castrate him. He got the point.

It's started to die down around here, I think. Those stupid fart cans are still around, though.

I can see cornfields from my deck, no biggie. I am about 30 minutes from you. I need to make one of the meets, though not sure my Jeep is going to fit in.
