Default Relatively new subie owner. And need help

Hey what's up everyone? So I recently got a n 11 sti last November and I'm just now realizing how expensive these cars are to maintain. I'm thinking I want to start tackling repairs by myself. As of now I have air induction valves stuck open and was wondering if anyone has experience removing that whole system or is willing to help me figure this out and some other mods. I know there's alot of guys/gals out here with subies and most of them look pretty well put together . So if any of y'all are around we should get together so that we can all learn something new!!

Welcome to MAIC.

I've had a great experiences on here finding people who are willing to help in exchange for beer, pizza or even just a hearty handshake.

It'll help you find people if you list what area of the mid-atlantic you're in. Not telling you to post your address or anything, but Newport News is a long way from NoVA.

Thanks!! I guess that would have been some good info too. I'm right outside DC in NoVA!

Hey Joey,

I don't know to much when it comes to mechanical ****, but I would be interested in learning/linking up with other WRX owners in NOVA.

Those valves are pretty pricey to replace, but they do make block off plates. You can delete the air pump and get the codes deleted with an Accessport.

Yea I actually got them replaced. I did have an accessport so it would have been just as expensive to go that route.
