Default Maryland Safety Inspection RE: catless DP and catted exhaust

Registering my saabaru here in MD since I just got out of the military. The exhaust is completely catless, but I picked up a stock exhaust with a cat today, but not the downpipe. Will I pass with a catless DP and a catted exhaust?

Feedback much appreciated!

The cats are in the up pipe and downpipe. (One in the stock up pipe, two in the downpipe.) The stock cat-back exhaust does not have any catalytic converters in it.

Either you've got your terminology a little wrong, or you're misunderstanding which part is the catalytic converter. The downpipe is commonly referred to as the "downpipe" plus the "midpipe" in the diagram below. Aftermarket downpipes replace both of those sections with one single piece.

Is the rear catalytic converter not on the mid-pipe? Because on that diagram it certainly looks like it is. And it does on this one as well.

Just saw your edit, I will have to see if my aftermarket dp is going to prevent me from using the midpipe... I haven't crawled back under the car yet.

Yes, but the aftermarket downpipe will extend all the way to where the number 7 is on your diagram.

Yeah, missed that part of your last post. Still haven't had a chance to check yet, but I feel like I'm probably hosed. Gonna need a DP...
