Default BNW needs your help! Looking for volunteers!

Hi folks,

It's time again to gather volunteers for BNW. It's primarily a volunteer run event, and without you hard working folks the event wouldn't happen.

BNW is July 28, 2013 at Bremerton Motorsports Park.

What we will need from you:
* 2 two-hour work shifts, possibly starting as early as 7 AM
* We will need some people on the Friday before to help stuff goody bags (Location TBD)

What's in it for you:
* Free Admission
* Free door prize tickets
* A schwag bag full of goodies
* A cool Staff-specific BNW t-shirt
* More TBD

If you're interested in signing up as a volunteer please email [email protected], use "BNW 2013 Volunteer" in the subject line.
Please include:
*Name
*Forum Username
*Phone Number
*Dates and Times available
*T-Shirt Size
(Don't worry if we dont get back to you right away, we handle volunteer apps in batches.)

Thanks!

That's what it looks like.

So if you volunteer does that cover your entrance fees like it has in the past? I'm debating on showing as paint should be done by then, but am trying to figure out exact costs and such.

ETA: nevermind, best of I wouldn't stand a chance but I might be fun to see how my car has improved since the last judged event I participated in.

Volunteers get free admission, car show is not included in that.

oh of course, I wasn't saying it was, sorry if that came out wrong. I strictly was asking about admission then went on a little bit of a wild tangent. Thanks for clarifying.

Any word on pre-meets the night before? If not, I would like to help organize something.

Any idea if the meet coordinators may release some information regarding the facilities that will be available? Like bathrooms.....are we going to be using out houses ( wife hates em )? What kind of food vendors if any will be available ( glad I brought chow last year )? Shaded cool down areas? Places to sit? Tables to eat at IF food vendors are there? Just seems like good intel to give to the individuals that will be attending the meet so we can better plan for the day. This information shouldn't be " come and see " information

If you've emailed and not heard back regarding volunteering, its only because we are busy with everything else that goes along with it. We can use all the help we can get, so any volunteer offers won't be turned away.

I'm going to try and answer some of these questions.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with port-a-potties.

Food vendors: We are currently in talks with several food vendors and hope to have a variety of food available, though we have no firm agreements as of this morning. We will update with the names of the vendors and their menu items when that information becomes available.

Shade: The details on shade should be available today. Keep this in mind though, if you have the ability to bring your own shade (an umbrella, ez up, etc) you will be guaranteed shade. I expect that the shaded areas as well as areas to sit will fill up rather quickly. Please plan accordingly.

Overall, we have been planning since the beginning to improve the experience, but this is still an outdoor event in July. We are doing our best to provide a comfortable place for you and your family to come enjoy the day, and we recommend bringing chairs, shade, sunscreen, water, and anything else you might want for a day outside in the middle of the summer.
