They are at an angle that go with the trunk lid edges and if I went back more that angle is off and looks funny. I probably wanted it closer to the rear too I like that look better. I also struggled with not even using the pedestals all together but I didnt feel comfortable with the lessened stability for the wing with a smaller footprint at the mounting point..
No, the further the wing is behind the rear wheels the larger the moment arm is (i.e. mechanical advantage), creating even more friction between the tire and the road surface.

Don't post much. Couple updates. Lexan all around is finally done to my "standards". Hit up Templar Performance out of the U.K. if interested.

Also I'm finished with braking and I'm ABS Free!

Haven't posted in a while.
Nothing much has changed except my suspension is slightly higher and I don't have a front lip this summer

Beauuutiful car. Must be intensely fun. Love the Zerosports kit and ganadors. What hood is that? One day I will also run one of those.

Only gripe is the car begs for a much larger/taller GT-wing to match the rest of the beastly aero/presence.

Yeah It's not permanent. I really never really liked the idea of flocking my dash. The only goal for this was to eliminate the glare. You can pick this up from Summit. Its called "Dash Mat" in suede and will cost around $40. However it does take roughly three weeks to receive.
