Xluben, you go through motor changes almost as much I change my underwear. You must be able to do it blind by now.

About to sign up for my first autocross since going RHD. Pretty much all the bugs and kinks have been sorted. I guess we will find out soon.

Watch for pics and video.

Old video, look at that ugly ass front end. She ran/runs like stink though. This is the second autocross after doing the full version nine setup.

Should be fun... I've been working on the 240 so much this summer I've only driven the bug, next year I'm going to enjoy some motor sports.

Guess I'll get in on V4
My 2nd bugeye, first wagon.
Picking her up.

Meeting my buddie's turbo Baja

Meeting my (same) buddie's AWP bug wagon

Paying her respects to the bug that started this Subaru addiction of mine. And gave his life for mine

Shes all stock except the catback. Going to take things slow with her. Probably throwing my Grimm DP on the weekend. Picked up their MBC and pulling the EBCS off the old car to run a hybrid control setup. And thats how she'll stay mechanically for the winter. With the exception of maintenance things I have to do. Then next year I'll be getting into a little suspension stuff and a proper setup for the VF34 from the old car.

Jon, I've been really impressed with what you've done during the last two years alone. I know you've had to rework engine issues and watched the whole process of you going widebody. Glad to see someone stick with a build for so long (I'm at five years myself). I wonder if you were in a bigger city and could frequent larger meets, how much more famous your ride would be.

I still have some work to do with these and I want to space out the rears a little, but I am very happy with how the flares worked out.
I'll be THAT guy. Please tell me where to get those flares? They're beautiful!

Thanks! I don't change it that often. Ideally it's once a year or less. Took me about 3 hours to put back in plus a few hours of troubleshooting small leaks and other issues. I have a timelapse video of the motor going back in but I haven't had a chance to upload it yet.

The car ended up making 834WHP on the dyno. Final tune backed it down to around 750WHP due to fueling limitations.

Drove it to the track the next day and was able to do a 9.5 @ 150mph on drag radials (my street tires).

Then on Saturday I did 2 more passes and the 2nd pass the silicone coupler got sucked into the turbo and destroyed it.

Its a sedan haha. It's a friend of mine's bugeye. We took the car wash one in Carson and the night ones under a bridge in Washoe. We definitely have various and unique locations to shoot.
