![]() My guess it will be around a $4k premium, at least. Based on base 370z vs Sport trims.

Upgraded cooling, brakes, suspension, LSD, wheels/tires, infotainment and seats/interior trim and im sure more I'm missing. Lets say base starts at $39,999, if they can keep the performance at/around $45K thats more than worth it to me. Now the big challenge of figuring out how to wedge a 2 seater into my family situation |

If they put half as much effort into making it fun to drive as say, Toyota/Subaru put into the 86 and BRZ, I think it'll really be hard to fault the car. A base price of $40k will be a little disappointing to me, but considering how it's equipped it's pretty reasonable. If I could ask this guy anything and get a 100% honest answer, it would be "if you made a new platform for this car from scratch, how might it be different?" My guess is it wouldn't be different at all, except probably a little lighter. |

![]() As far as the rear ends. If we go by the previous gen hardware, it's an R200 and the LSD is pretty bad. It's a VLSD and it's unpredictable and then stops working when it ages. The rest of the sport package is worth is though, mostly for the brakes. But people who actually track these cars (again, looking at past generations), use an aftermarket LSD. On mine, I have a Wavetrack and it is night and day between that and the VLSD. This is a popular upgrade:

Really the sky should be the limit when you've got double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension to play with. Particularly if you have freedom to make new control arms and such, should be able to make it do whatever you want. With the current industry hotness being sports cars that are "fun" and not just fast, and this guy basically spelling out what he wants the auto journos to say to that tune verbatim, you'd hope they get most of the way there in the end. |

Feel the same. Supposed to look better in person. Either way I'm not going poop on it until driving reviews, etc. Musical chairs have started and after these FMC's, goodbye ICE performance 6MT affordable. I have a Nissan, and it's the best car I have ever owned. Zero dealer visits outside of schedule. Some of their models, I will admit, are trash, but others are fantastic. It's model specific, not brand specific. |

![]() Funny you say that. I always thought the satin aluminum looking handles were awesome. I loved mine on my 350z. These look kind of lame/cheap in comparison to me.
The rest of the car looks great though. Wish I had room for one in my garage. Maybe in a few years. |

![]() I've had two Nissan products, and they were both crap. Transmissions were slow and terrible. One vehicle had two wheel bearings fail before 75k miles.

I don't have that kind of mileage, no where near it, but I'm at 7.5 years on the Leaf, and it was overbuilt. Range sucks, but they were first for the Japanese and pretty everyone sans Tesla. There is a forum from them, and it's pretty universal "bulletproof". Nevermind that the first 3 years I leased mine before I bought it and since day 1 I've driven it like a sportscar. It tops out at 93/94 mph and it's actually pretty light so 70-80 through corners is no problem. I'm hoping a replacement battery pack of 150 miles is offered at some point and if so I'll keep driving it and hopefully make a 20 year DD out of it. |

![]() I'm drawn to the simplicity of the front and how much it actually looks like the original Z without the regulation bumper bar.

![]() First mod - black vinyl'ing the long chrome roofline trim thingy, perhaps.
Second mod - finding a nice splitter setup for the front, which, I think, could do wonders, aesthetically. Not sure of approach angles though - that's some mean overhang. |
