Default Wastegate wont open at high boost?

I'm having a weird problem here that I haven't had before.

Wastegate wouldn't open at 28-30 psi but opens at 24 psi.

I also have a exhaust cutout on the downpipe. When the cutout is open, the car pulls strong on high boost and wastegate opens.

Checked all hoses and they're all intact no rips.
You guys have any input why the wastegate wouldn't open at high boost but opens on lower boost?

What wastegate spring are you using? And is it hitting your targets only with cutout open? Maybe your exhaust setup is restrictive is a guess but it also may need a higher psi wastegate spring.

while the hoses may be good check the routing of them to the EBCS.

Additionally, make sure all the ports that aren't used (like the open side ports) are blocked off.

Additionally, additionally CHECK the block off plugs. We ran into one that was manu wrong and had a small pinhole in the broach for the allen and that caused all sorts of havoc with boost control. Took us forever to find it as well.

Id suspect its hanging on the shaft bushing it the wastegate, or funky boost controller

We're running a 18psi spring. The WG opens fine on spring pressure and up to 24psi. Anything over 24psi it doesn't open. The thing is, the WG sounds "weak" or quiet though at spring pressure with the 1.06 ar compared to the .82ar I had previously.

We swapped from MBC to EBCS and still same issues with it not opening on high boost without ecutout open.

Does it overboost after 24psi?

Maybe the diaphragm is getting stuck on the wastegate, thats kinda a shot in the dark though because it's opening fine for lesser pressures, maybe run bigger vac lines to the ports?
