I'm thinking this might have something to do with it since all 2006 sti's are auto a/c, my a/c is also a manual a/c. The ambient temp sensor is tied in with the auto a/c according to my wiring diagrams. But I'm still hoping that i just need an sti sensor in the front. it's weird that the temp never changes from 43.

Let me know if you end up getting it, I'd like to know if it works. Was thinking it was something in the wiring, but didn't' know for sure.

Hey guys,
I got a question. I got the Brake lights and ABS lights on. My car is an 04 wrx w/ 06 sti (cluster). Do you think it's okay to drive the car with it on? I know it sounds dumb but just in case. Also, has anyone figured how to get the abs lights off? can anyone help? |

Has anyone tried to do the manual A/C to Auto A/C swap? I'd like to know what all it entails and roughly how much it would cost time and money wise...I've got the dials and cluster for an 05 STi and I'm trying to get them into an 03 wrx.

Wrxwhip, do you have any pics of the file job? I've got an 05STi going into an 03wrx that is being a major pita. Any recommendations, anyone?

I don't know if I'm retarded but the reason I wanted the STi cluster in my MY06 wrx is for the rpm buzzer notification. I don't get on my car that often but when I do I find myself paying too much attention to the rpm's and it's taking away from me paying attention to the driving. I want the buzzer but I notice everyone saying you cut C9. Anyway, to the people who made the swap; why did you swap it? Are their some benefits I'm missing or negatives I'm over looking?
Gabriel- P.S: is there a way to get the full STi wire harness from cluster back so you don't have to shave anything off? Last edited by FTL83; 11-25-2007 at 08:59 PM. Reason: question |

Just curious since most of this information pertains to the 05+ cluster, are the 04 STI clusters easier? I just happen to get on of those with the cluster harness as well

One interesting thing, however, is that I THINK I can get the IC Sprayer Tank level warning light working. I need to look at the B plug in my car tho to see if the Auto Tranny wire is there on the MT model....I suspect it is. Even if it is not, there is a way Worst part would probably be running a wire from the trunk mounted tank to the cluster. As for temp, I have no idea yet...but then, I still need to get the mileage adjusted on my STI cluster. Quote:

The 04 cluster is the way to go. I just installed one in my 07 2.5i. Pluged in and no problems with a buzzer. Still have the abs light and the diff light, but that will be gone when I do the rest of my STI swap in Feb so for now it works!

How many of you have checked to see if your gauges are working correctly after doing the swap?
I had to move alot of wires to get mine to work. Trimming and moving one wire was not a option. Everything but rear diff works on mine. |

Does anybody know how to dim the 06-07 STi cluster? Mine doesn't work with the dimmer switch and it doesn't have an "ILL" adjustment by pressing the odometer.. Any help appreciated.

I swapped in an sti cluster into my 04 wagon and the only problems that i have is that 1- I don't have the temperature sensor so the temperature always says it's 43 degrees unless it is really cold and it will say 25? not sure why it changes and 2- The rear diff light is always on(no rear diff sensor in my car so it makes sense) and I can't adjust the brightness of the cluster...other than that it was plug and play.
