Overall Im extremely happy with how this turned out. I built the car on a whim as a DD / Winter Beater and wanted a reliable, responsive, mostly stock car. I like the idea of changing what is needed and nothing else. I also love this turbo very much, it is out go-to street turbo now. So yeah, thats about all I have to say lol.

thanks, I appreciate it.

Pretty much everything on the car is OEM besides performance parts and the wing/wheels. I tried to make it clean and stockish looking, while still putting down the power and handling like a beast.

Yeah, more than normal. I really attribute that to AVCS, the thermal bits keeping the heat and exhaust velocity in where it needs to be, and the carberry SD rom.

I'm soo jealous! v7 ej207s are very nice engines, plus it made awesome power for Dynotech's dyno.

Nice car Matt, well done!

thanks eric, i was surprised. my pie in the sky goal was 400whp, but i figured id come close but not hit it. the weather was nice, which helped. i didnt want to run much more than 25psi really either.

it hits so hard, hammer second in a corner and the rears light right up haha tail wag.

thanks for the kind words. ill probably go drag this thing to back up the power numbers even further i think it could go pretty quick.

The peak power is there, well, because the torque really starts to fall off after that lol. I could probably run a little more timing up top but Im happy where I stopped.

I dont have a strong desire to do any tuning on other fuels on this car, I wont ever use E85 as the closest station is in another state and I drive the car pretty much daily. I also dont want to have a mechanical failure on the motor and if I up the torque a ton more I sure could.

insane #'s on 93! inspirational actually. I can't get my tq.#'s up that high and I'm running a 3-port and 25 psi from 3.2k-5.5 and only make around 280wtq., guess I need to add more timing. I think I'll only feel good about that on e85, or maybe it's just my turbo holding the torques back.

Now you're really making me question which turbo to go with when I upgrade my ver8 setup.

Stay with twinscroll and grab up a twinscroll 30r variant?

Or go single scroll with the DOM1.5xtr?

I really need to read more....

I have no problem telling you what my ignition timing is lol, what do you run at peak torque and at redline? I pushed the timing a lot, but this is my personal car so Ill know if something is up with it. I also worked on the AVCS a lot to get the torque up. Most people dont run nearly enough timing on the EJ207s.

Im not sold on twinscroll setups being all that much better, but it should never be worse. Why not use the DOM1.5XTR TS?

I

I just.

Oh yes please. Wonder if anyone on nasioc has used one yet :searches:

Now to save for this, a 6 speed, and fuel system upgrades....

Back on topic, why the 1000cc injectors? Added headroom/safety reasons or are they really needed?

Mine will be tuned within a month hopefully. I'm very excited to see how it does after this thread.

I got the 1000s because all the IDs below 2000cc cost me the same price and they are my preferred injector. Plenty of headroom (though they really flow about 900cc or so), great control.

I will consider (and likely) posting a log of the ignition timing vs MAP. Some of the other stuff (AVCS, SD VE, etc) Id rather keep to myself.

If you tell me your timing Ill tell you what I think

the original plot - was that on the ej207? what turbo? or did you get the car with an ej205/tdo4.
