Stoptech
I ordered Axxis Metal Masters, front and rear from them after speaking with Matt about stock replacement pads. The pads performed as promised and was delivered on time. Matt and Linda are both great and will go a great deal out of the way to advise and help people. Awesome people and products. Stoptech and the people from Stoptech is Highly Recommended!

Stop-Tech Service Sucks!!!
Everything was all worked out with my Stop-Tech purchase. There was confusion but once i was able to speak with somebody, everything was worked out in a very timely manner and i was able to get my BBK. Since then, i have seen AWESOME service from Stop-Tech and my BBK were the best brakes i have ever felt on street and track. If you want brakes, definately go with these guys, they are simply awesome.

StopTech -- now that IS service & support!!
I would like to thank StopTech (and Gary S.) for their help with resolving a shipping mishap.
Background: Brembo dropped the ball with some rotors I ordered several weeks ago (I guess life moves slow in Italy), so I contacted StopTech for replacement rotors. They had a pair of fronts in stock -- so I order two fronts (left & right). The rotors arrived (Thursday two days before my Thunderhill event) -- I opened the box and pull out one boxed rotor to check it was what I ordered and the fit was correct -- everything appeared fine. So Thursday evening comes around -- I start to actually install the rotors and pull BOTH of them out of their boxes and notice the box I didn't check was a Right Rear rotor!! In a mild panic, I call StopTech (it is almost 7pm so I thinking there is no way I can get a hold of anyone) and get thru to a support lady. She looks up my order invoice and it does indeed say 1 LEFT FRONT and 1 RIGHT REAR, however, the hand written order taken down when I called does indicated 1 LEFT FRONT 1 RIGHT FRONT. She apologize immediately, but I'm still thinking how the hell can I get a rotor by Friday seeing as it is 7pm Thursday evening. She offers to next day air with Sat delivery the Right Front rotor to Thunderhill (on their dime) -- as much as I appreciate that, Sat is still too late. So I say don't worry about it just send it out and I'll get it next week and return the other (again this is all on their dime). About 5 minutes later I get a call from StopTech again and she says by chance someone at their location will be flying back to my area tonight and can arrange to meet with me and do the rotor swap. So I inquire who might be the contact, and it turns out to be Gary S. (much appreciate this Gary). Anyway, long story I know, but what impressed me with StopTech is: 1. They were willing to do whatever is need to get me my part in time for my event. 2. They were available at 7pm on a Thursday evening. Yes it was their shipping mistake, but few companies would offer this type of support. This has left and VERY good impression with me (that is hard to do -- cause for the most part I'm a grumpy old fart) and I will certainly be doing all my brake business with them in the future. Excellent support! And thank you again Gary. Last edited by V8VENOM; 04-30-2004 at 12:17 PM. |

Stoptech Technical support was amazing!
It's a long story, but I had some problems (my own doing) with my old (gen 1) Stoptech calipers. I called Stoptech technical support line and was immediately answered by a PERSON, not some machine. I eventually talked to Bob Lee and Matt Weiss and they both REALLY helped me out. Stoptech products are great and their support is fantastic!

After finding the parts I need on stoptech.com, I called them up and talked to Howard, who informed me the parts were in stock and took my order.
They made sure to get my email address over the phone and then sent me a tracking number on their own accord. The lines were shipped the next day. Good service and an unbeatable website for "the whole picture" from customer education to sales. |

Great attention to small details
My story isn't as urgent as some of the other folks in this thread, but nonetheless, it just goes to show what great support Stoptech has.
I was in email with Matt Weiss and Pat McCleish about some pedal vibration my ST-40 BBK has started to develop. I had Axxis Ultimates (another review in itself) and had gone through 3 HPDEs with them (only level 1, but still a bad idea). Anyways, Matt and Pat made the recommendation to clean off the rotors w/ a very abrasive pad and to use a different pad for my weekend track excursions. Long story short, we had a slight mis-communication in email. I didn't think anything of it because I was rather satisfied with their recommendations already, but they followed up w/ another email pointing out that one of them had misread one of my emails and reconfirmed the earlier recommendations. These days, just getting decent support is about all you can hope for. This really wasn't a big deal at all, but it's due to this kind of attention details and accountability that let me recommend them wholeheartedly. And as another poster mentioned, the information from the site is excellent. I know an ASE master tech (or was for a long time, good guy) who scoffed at the idea of brake pad transfer. I wanted to say to him, "These guys are brake experts. They setup pro racers with their stuff, do their research..." Thanks, Stoptech! Last edited by yuletak; 02-09-2009 at 06:22 PM. |
