Question Torklift Eco-Hitch on Impreza

I'm thinking about installing the 2" Eco-Hitch on our 2012 Impreza. Does anyone out here use the Eco-Hitch with a 1Up bike rack? Do they work together? Does the hitch insert go in far enough? Is there sufficient clearance to be able to put the rack in the upright position?

If you don't have the 1Up rack, how recessed is the front face of the hitch receiver from the surface of the bumper cover? How deep is the hitch receiver? Thanks!

Send me some measurements from the stinger of the rack and I can check to see if it'd work.

General Rule of thumb for the stinger: All ballmounts/bike rack stingers cannot exceed more than 2-3/8” of an inch from the center of the pinhole to the end of the stinger.

Finally got my car wired for towing and took out my father in law's boat last weekend. Towed flawlessly. The ramp was a bit low, so I had to dip the bumper a bit. No biggie.

If anyone is looking to buy a hitch, I have a new in box Curt trailer hitch. PM me and we can work something out, I don't want to ship though

Thanks for the heads up. I was on the fence regarding the Torklift hitch, but the discount made up my mind.

I was hoping the hitch would make use of the 2x2 (?) cutout that is just above it in the bumper.

that cutout is for the euro fog light, not a hitch receiver.

Dude...did you even review this thread before posting this? Or how about my last picture on the same page you just posted to...

The cutout has been utilized by Torklift Invisi trailer hitch to allow a hitch receiver to be installed behind the cut out.

stripers are starting to come up. some guys on the kayak forum caught some stray salmon. I caught one there last year while i was trolling a white crank bait. it was around 20-25lb and took me 30-45 minutes to bring it in with a 8lb test trout rod

I just put in my Torklift 2" with my Thule t2 916xtr. It fit perfectly without having to cut the stinger. I did the whole bumper removal and it came out great.

Default Will it fit

I just picked up a 2014 sport limited. No one seems to have updated their inventory on hitches yet. Will the curt hitch for a 2013 fit a 2014? Thanks

since the 2014 is the same car as 2013 and 2012, I think its safe to assume they will fit your car just fine.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the cars were the same too, but no one shows a hitch for a 2014 Impreza. They show 2014 Outback, Crosstek, Forester, Tribeca and Legacy...but not Impreza. It made me think that perhaps something changed. I ordered one for a 2013, I will find out soon enough.

Did you contact Torklift? I don't see why it'd be any different unless they changed the frame, and I doubt they did.

I got my curt hitch through a site called hitch anything. I paid like $130 and had free shipping.
