Default What mods does it take to max out stock fuel system?

Just wondering? Does it correlate to more boost or can a stocker max it out?

Virtually all of the larger turbos are capable of maxing-out the stock blues. Unless you do the decapatation mod (740 cc) or enlarge the 12 holes (still experimental). The stocker can come close if overboosted.

Running at the stock a/f ratio i bet you could do it with just a boost controller. Chances are your going to max out your injectors before you run into fuel pump problems so IMO injectors are the first thing to "max out".

I used to get IDCs in the low-mid 90s with stock injectors on the stock turbo running around 10.5-11.0:1 a/f.

the injectors will run out of steam first. But the stock fuel pump is pretty resiliant. People never give it enough credit, it is capable of flowing enough to the sti 565cc.

again, i agree that you can max out the stock injectors with a boost controller if you turn it up high enough, but you'll also be making your turbo work over time.

Yeah i know, but since you can get a 255lph pump for $100 you might as well have peice of mind.

Yeah...Zactly....it really would be a dumb thing to do to toast a $5k motor 'cuz you were too damn cheap to install a $100 fuel pump...
