Motion Lab Tuned 2005 Outback XT 257whp/275wtq family battle wagon!
Shop: Motion Lab Tuning
Dyno Type: DynoCom FX5000-AWD Boost: 20psi Fuel: 93OCT Target AFR: 11:1 SAE Corrections: Default Corrections Peak HP at RPM: 257whp @ 5750 RPMs Peak Torque at RPM: 275wtq @ 4300 RPMs Transmission: Stock 5speed Gear: 3rd Engine Management: Cobb AccessPort Engine/Power Modifications:
This is a little bit more unique car that we did recently using the Cobb AP speed density software. It was a 2005 Outback XT with a few bolt on mods. He upgraded the turbocharger to a 16g, added in a nice Invidia HFC downpipe, and Tomei header/up-pipe combo to free up the exhaust system. He still had the stock catback though! I think that, and the OEM TMIC, was the only thing keeping this car from seeing 300AWHP/320AWTQ like most of our other 16g equipped subarus. He said he wanted to hang with mustangs.... I dunno about the new 5.0 but most things before that should get a little surprise from this family wagon. Nice sleeper setup! Needs that TMIC and a nice catback exhaust but fun car nevertheless.

It would help tremendously! The OEM intercoolers definitely leave a lot to be desired. Hell even an STi TMIC would be a big benefit versus the little ol' WRX intercooler, haha.

The OE intercooler is smaller than some oil coolers. However, please tell your customer to read my threads on fitment issues on the OXT with a particular brand of TMIC if they look to upgrade (*cough*, Perrin). It would be very cool to see a re-tune of this platform changing only the TMIC (in other words, get them to do it soon before it starts getting warmer out!).

You are totally right about the OE intercoolers though. We just finished doing a custom oil cooler set-up for a 370z using a setrab 34row oil cooler. It puts the WRX intercooler to shame! Thanks, Alex Goodwin [email protected] |
