Post Acceleration Pluss - Remedied

Sometimes it's just good to vent.

I deleted that other post. I checked with GC and got the tracking #. Went to UPS and they're In Transit, On the truck en route to AP.

I'll pick them up tomorrow afternoon. Who knows, maybe I'll have them install tomorrow if I can arrange it with Craig tomorrow.

The Ground Countols actually pull the ground up to meet the tire hence the name, Ground Control.

You didn't know that?

Heheh...anyways...

The GC Coil Overs are Custom Eibach Springs in an Adjustable Perch. You can "tune" the suspension to what you want.

It allows the driver to expand and compress the spring manually for your driving needs. As in an Auto-X, you can compress the spring a little, making it a little stiffer, and effectively lowering the car a little more, and wth the lowered stance, increases the Camber a little more.

With just eibach springs, it lowers the car a set amount of height and a set amount of spring resistance. I believe the Eibach setup from SPD is something like 300 Front 275 or 250 rear.

The Ground COntrol Set-up I'm getting is 340 Front and 300 rear. I little stiffer spring. Gonna be an experience, that's for sure.

KC,
Are you sure about the comressing the spring part? No matter what you're gonna have the same spring rates, cause they are not progressive rate springs. I dont think my car gets any stiffer when I lower it.

It is my understanding that with an increase in spring preload, greater force is required to compress the spring further from it's static state. Not really stiffer, but more "hesitant" to initial travel, if you will.

Checked the tracking....delivered at 2:30 today. Asked them not to ship them to me as I will pick them up tomorrow.

I'll grive Craig a call tomorrow morning 1st thing and ask if they have time tomorrow afternoon to do the install and an alignment. It would be great if they could do it tomorrow. That way, on the way back, and on friday, they can be broken in on the softest setting and ready to rip at the test n tune and auto-x sat/sunday.

Cross Yer Finguhs.

Yeah, What chris said.

LOL.

I'm trying to line up some scales near my house this week, maybe as early as Friday. If they have scales there, then we'll see what time allows.

Like I said, we'll see what can be done today when I give them a call. If they can't install them this afternoon, and get it in for an alignment, it's a moot point, right?
