Default Question about ecu's

Ive got a 92 legacy with the normal 2.2 in it..i wanted to know can my 2.2 ecu run ej25d cylinder heads? I know they dont fit due to the intake manifold. I plan on doing a build later on, i just need to know this part in order to move on..

Yes. The only sensor on the head is the cam position sensor, and it is compatible. In fact, it's the same sensor.

The problem you will run into is that the only (common) throttle bodies that are compatible are the early Legacy EJ22/EJ22T and the early EJ20Gs ('89-'96). This is because of the separate idle switch in the TPS. EJ20K and EJ25D models do not use this.

Pick an intake manifold compatible with one of these throttle bodies. I *believe* an EJ22/EJ22T throttle body will bolt to an EJ25D intake manifold. The issue is where the throttle cable lands on the throttle body compared to where the bracket is on the manifold.
