Not at all a fan of the two tone gray appearance package

Default Brilliant brown pearl???

Being that the appearance pkg only comes with the white, blk or brilliant brown pearl, the pic above of a purple car must be the brilliant brown pearl in the sun!!

^Sort of a mahogany color in that light. Will be interesting to see in person.

I guess my screen isn't calibrated. Wanted to order my car today but thought I might wait to see the brown in person. Anyone else have more pics of the brilliant brown pearl?

I am also interested in more pictures of the new brown, it looks interesting from what little I can see from the pictures so far. Thanks for the interior shots, those look good!

I didn't even realize ordering had started already! Apparently 5/19! Anyone heard when the '13 Legacy can be ordered, or when the pricing will be announced? (curious what sort of premium the Eyesight will command... also curious if the appearance package on the Legacy will have turn signals in the mirrors... would be a nice upgrade for existing cars!)

Eyesight is packaged with moonroof and navi. So, probably about $3995 over limited trim.

Right, but you can get the moonroof/navi without, so I was curious what the eyesight would cost - the option packages are:

Pkg #04 Moonroof, Back up camera
Pkg #08
Moonroof, Back up camera, and 7" Navigation/GPS
Pkg #20
Moonroof, 7" Navigation system, and Eyesight System

Studio shots/renderings look bad, real life photo looks good, IMHO.

sorry, no way in hell I can see the attraction to a brown car build in the past 20 years.

Vintage 70s brown maybe, but why buy a new car that looks like dirt.

A couple of years ago I saw a chocolate brown Outback (05-09 model) and it was a complete head-turner for me. I would never own the color, most likely, but for whatever reason I was really happy to see it on the road. *shrug*

Yeah, I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree; these aren't your non-metallic 1970s doo-doo browns. There's a new Cuprite Brown M-B E-Class I see around town and it's just gorgeous in the right light (at least the color - I know the W212 styling isn't everyone's cup of tea).

I like the brown on that OB as well, need to see it on a Legacy sedan.

There are some decent browns out there, but not my cup of tea. Definitely better than the host of awful golds and champagne colors that won't seem to go away though.

I don't think Legacy will be offered in BBP.

My brother has an E350 wagon in that brown. It is very nice, in all lights. Has copper flake in it that increases it's depth.

Any brown is better than 4 shades of silver.....

Peace,

Greg

Not that the current Legacy is appealing to me anyway, but I would take red, blue, or green, maybe even copper/paprika orange/red before I would pick a shiny brown car.

Brown is for leather and wood, and other textures. Maybe raw sculpted bronze.

stamped metal with a shiny smooth coat of metallic brown just doesn't look quite right to me.

I don't like grays pushing out all the other colors... but I would probably pick a bright alloy silver, or a medium steel blue-gray, with a highlight color for a detail or two, rather than metallic brown.
