I just picked up a mint 05 LL Bean OB in black. Would have preferred an 07-09 in blue but it works. The Black has blue flake in it. The complimentary flake does a lot to add richness to the color.

I find the brown attractive.

Again, bring it on. More colors rather than shades of silver.

Peace,

Greg

Hmm ... most people hear "brown car" and think "eeewwwww".

But I have to admit, that metallic brown looks pretty cool .. I'd like to see it in person.

We are hearing mid June. No pricing told to us yet.

I'm digging the brown leather... goes fantastically with the wood, looks rich, and helps warm up the mostly black interior. This is the correct way to incorporate warm colors into an interior, IMHO.

We were set to go with a red Pilot with tan interior a couple years ago, until we saw that tan in person... my wife said it felt like sitting inside of a snickers bar. Except the center stack, everything (carpet, mats, plastics, dash, headliner, doors & door cards, cloth/leather) was carmel-colored, and it clashed horribly with the plastic silver trim:

That must be Twilight Blue Pearl on the Legacy photo in banyan's post? ... From that pic it reminds me of a step back closer to gray-blue Atlantic Blue Pearl (which I love on my '06) from the somewhat more true blues of late (Marine Blue and... what's the other essentially identical one to MBP? Can't recall.)

Twilight Blue or Venetian Red would be my choices for a Legacy, depending on trim.

I like the brown leather but not the two/tone paint on the mirrors and door handles

Thanks for pointing that out. Like a slightly darker Garnet Red, maybe? Truer than the current red, methinks.

Would look good on a turbo model.

My wife has a Pilot in that very color combo, Red Rock Pearl with the very yellowish tan interior. She's fine with it but at least I don't have to drive it every day - a relief both visually and in terms of driving dynamics.

I agree. At least from the photos that have been shown, the saddle interior looks very rich and warm. When I heard they were doing a saddle interior, I thought "Oh, gross", but I think it looks very good. I just wish they had more interior options in terms of colors for a given paint color. The one color leather or cloth option for each exterior color is kind of lame. I'm not a fan of the ivory cloth in particular, but it's the only cloth option on some of my preferred exterior colors.

I think if Honda would've mixed in more black or dark brown, it could've been acceptable for us. (Still like the red exterior.) But yeah, even in an appealing color combo it's not particularly pleasing to drive daily, though better than many of the family-hauler alternatives. Pilot tackles the family admirably, but makes me miss driving my old Outback 3.0R.

Default Switching from 2011 Elantra to 2013 Legacy

New here. After looking at pictures and specs of the 2013 Legacy, it looks like I may make the switch from the Elantra! Looks like the Legacy has a little more headroom and a better ride. There are more things I like about the Legacy, but I'll do more homework on it.

Anybody have a comment on my switch to the Legacy? My wife is all for it (although she was the one who insisted on the Elantra!).

Thoughts?

All I can think of is how great that legacy would look in a GT or Spec B trim.

sigh...

I believe some dealers have better inside info than others. SOA has not released official pricing officially through any official channels......officially.

2013s are appearing in Subaru commercials.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=DsIvGYJ3Sqc

Joe Spitz says 2013s are removed from the ordering system (except BRZ).

Yep, I checked yesterday. They aren't there right now only the BRZ. For a while now they have had the 2013MY Foz,Leg,Out and BRZ in the Order System. Kind of confusing. Subarunet is shut down today for maintenance. Mehbeh gearing up for the real ability to order the cars?

that would mean providing customers with more choices, and we know SOA is not about giving customers choices

this from the agency that ran the "beige" ads

In 3-4 weeks, we should see them on dealer lots. How many cars do you guys crank out per day - 800?
