just stuck slightly toward 1st. I'll need to press the gears off again to see what the problem is.
Sorry a bit off topic but it seems you do your own trans work? ie replacing synchros, do you have special tools like synchro protective rings to remove/install, etc?

I have some issues with 3/4 synchros due to drag duty and would love to do the work myself.

I take the transmission apart and take the gear sets to a local shop that my buddy runs. They do the pressing off of the gears and such because I don't have the tools to do it.

Any idea on why the circlip came off? Any chance it was compressed too much during assembly?

I'm honestly not sure. The engine ran for 13-14k miles without being torn down (other than removing the heads once for larger valves) so I would have expected it to come out sooner. I made dozens of drag passes on that block.

I've cut a handful of 1.63 and 1.64 60's but always miss a shift or the clutch gave out. One of these days I'll match the right shifting with a decent 60'.

Breaking in new sleeved motor and added a new Treadstone fmic.
Currently the fastest and highest hp subaru in NM.
I'll dyno on the old 9179 and then throw on the efr9180.

Had some issues the first time around but he took care of it. He's been great to deal with.
I did have to take it down and replace the bearings and crank because of a decking issue that led to the pistons tapping the heads on one side of the block only.

Damn that sucks. I think that's who I'm going to have do my block if the current sleeved one doesn't work.

Nope. Valves shipped from swaintech a few days ago and Moore performance is almost done with ts header and up pipe.

So just need fuel cell and big Weldon pump and 2 44mm wastegates and I'm ready.

The car is back and running stronger than ever. Was only able to run 28psi on the dyno because one of my 044's died but it made more power at 28 psi than it did at 34psi last year. The efr9180 is bolted on and add soon as the new pump gets here I will head back to the dyno.

Wow that's really serious power!! Do you remember about what it was picking up per psi of boost?

28 to 34 is 6 psi if I added correctly!!

If you pick up say 10 hp per pound that's

692.
