VW is going to lose fistfuls of money on all these electric Golfs and electric Tiguans. 3 years from now why would I buy an electric Tiguan? All my neighbors will be confused why I didn't just get a Tesla Model Y.
Maybe you wanted a vehicle that is not made by morons and actually fits together with an interior that looks more respectable and less power wheels

there are like 2 people who care about that. having the latest high tech gee whiz gizmo is more important for driving sales. It's just how luxury is more about tech now than worksmanship.

maybe.

but doubtful.
Actually they said "combustion engine platform" and not vehicle. For example, VW's MQB platform has been around since 2012 and I remember reading an article saying they could stretch its use to the end of 2020's. If true, that is nearly 30 year lifespan. It underpins 20+ models already.

It has been foretold, that in 2026, FCA will still be using the same modified Mercedes chassis for the Dodge Charger & Challenger...

Itís less than that even. Which is what pisses off Enick. Tesla is the go to electric car for certain sectors of affluent folk. ďWhy didnít you just get a Tesla?Ē is a typical response. If you load up Scraps and Nicks well reasoned arguments it will be met with blank stares and cold shoulders. Itís like saying you donít care for xyz popular netflix show and donít wanna waste time watching it. There must be something wrong with you because nothing is wrong with the monoculture and spawn products.
