wrxprowler: "So what your saying is that the three holes in your sway bar are not for adjusting stiffness but to compensate for whatever other parts you have on your car? Sorry when I bought the bar I thought I was getting adjustability."

Isn't that what adjustability means? If we only had one endlink mounting hole then they would be considered non-adjustable. Our apologies you are unhappy with your purchase. As always we continue to make evolutionary changes to each of our products. We take any and all feedback into account when making these updates and changes. Your opinions and comments will not be discarded.

Thanks again for choosing PERRIN.

When you buy an adjustable anti-roll bar you expect to be able to use that adjustability to adjust the stiffness of the bar.

If the adjustability designed into the bar is there to let you account for "fitment" issues, then whoever designed the bar has no clue whatsoever about suspension design.

Clearly the bar is defective if all 3 stiffness settings can't be used without metal rubbing on metal. Even if the car was fully stock it would see the same rubbing, springs don't change the amount of travel the car has, just the loads at which the travel is seen.

drees: There is no clearance issues at stock ride height with PERRIN or proper length endlinks. Many other things can interfer with aftermarket or OEM swaybars. The springs do change the length of travel, and additionally, when the body is lowered over the suspension, the base reference angle to this type of sway bar is changed dramatically. The working range is changed etc. The holes DO change leverage and can increase the bar efficiency, but they also allow for changes to base reference angles on lowered vehicles. My apologies if the previous response led you to believe that we have limited knowledge of suspension geometry.

If we can help further PLEASE let us know. Thanks again to this community for allowing this type of productive conversation and discussion.

My point is this: Lowering springs don't change the absolute range of motion in the rear suspension, they only change the static ride height.

Rubbing will be less on a car that is at stock height, but it will still be there! You should be able to pull the springs out of the car and run the suspension through it's range of travel with no rubbing.

I stand by my claim that an anti-roll bar that doesn't let you use the stiffest setting because you get more rubbing when the car is lowered using stock endlinks or in this case the manufacturer's own endlinks is not designed properly. Maybe these cases are simply a manufacturing error?

I have seen at least 2 cases of this on the board now, so it's definitely not an isolated case. Without this issue being resolved there is no way I would purchase a Perrin bar for my car.

I didnt find one of these in the 2.5 section so I will post here.

I tired to swap the Perrin silicone turbo inlet hose, intercooler hoses and rad hoses from my 02 WRX and none of them fit properly. Is Perrin going to make these hoses to fit the 06 WRX??

Flexx999: Thanks for asking. All of those will fit the 06 WRX but you will need updated instructions for the IC hoses and the inlet hose. E-mail [email protected] and I will e-mail them to you today!

Thanks again for choosing PERRIN Performance.

Perrin,
I had a 2004 WRX and i purchased your turboback. I traded the car w/ TBe in for a new 06 sti. I loved the sound and quality of the exhaust but it destroyed my bumper.. I deperately want to get your TBE again on my 06 being that i have heard some other exhaust and not really feeling it, but dont want the burnt bumper problem.
1).What changes if any have been made to the TBE?
2).Is your TMIC compatible with a 20G?
3).What are the advantages of your dual tube over your single tube cat back?

rebos123: Sorry for any inconvenience. Grab your invoice and call me or Jeff at the number below. We can suggest some in the field fixes or issue an RMA to get it back and inspected/repaired/replaced. We are happy to help. Each is supposed to be pressure checked prior to packaging. This one must have slipped! Thanks for the purchase!

Boxer112: Thanks for asking. Several things have changed in the past several years. one of which is more distance between the bumper skin and tip, longer tip, resonator and also heat shielding included with each system (this was VERY recent.) On race systems that routinely spend a lot of time on the dyno an extreme amount of heat can build up in the rear of the vehicle (this occurs on all systems not just PERRIN) and the use of the heat shielding prevents damage to the bumper in this situation.

The dual tube allows much higher flow vs. a std. 3" system. It also reduces noise emissions as well. This will outflow by 40% over a std. 3" tube.

The TMIC on the STi will work with a 20G.

Thanks again for asking.

rebos123: I just stepped into the office and will get VM shortly. Did you leave it on mine or Jeff's? Either way we will get back in touch ASAP!. Thanks for your patience.

I had a quick question, I purcahsed a perrin dual-tip peformance cat-back exhaust for my WRX, I was wondering why on some days the exhaust seems loud (its not a bad loud; its exactly how I would want it to sound), but on other days the exhaust would be pretty quite. I understand at WOT its going to be louder and it depends on the way that you drive the car, but I have tested it at similar throttle response levels on similar days and I would still notice a difference. I was wondering if this might be normal and I am just being paranoid or its abnormal and I need to worry, please help me out.

How do Perrin fuel rails for a wrx fit with the 30r kit? Has anyone tested this yet?

bluekn8286: I will ask Jeff and get back to you. I can't think of anything taht would do that though.

Token-Negro: Again, I will ask Jeff if there is any interference, but I do not believe there is any issue. Thanks for asking!

Hey Adam
I still have the Perrin ant-lift kit that clunks and grinds when I have to brake. Any fix. Hasn't killed me, so no hurry I guess. ..

Cheers

gingertooth,
Catless makes most systems pretty loud. My Dual Tube on my catless STI is loud, but not farty loud, or as loud as many others out there. Around SEMA time you will see some new changes to what we offer.

MtdogBob,
Call us and we can give you some pointers, it might just need regrease. We have had other customers call with these problems and when they are sent back they are completely dry. We can send you a zirc fitting to install, which is what will be on the newest version of the PSRS.

burnin4,
Yes it will work just fine! Should have some very solid data on an 35R setup in the next week or so. So we will have a stage 2 STI before and after and a 35R. sh

So I took the grinder to my perrin endlinks so that I could actually install them with my perrin rear sway bar... you guys already told us that this is normal for them to fit incorrectly.

So new problem. Now the endlinks are making popping noises whenever I take corners. Is there a fix for this? Or is it normal for your car to make terrible noises too?

Good ol' perrin stuff. It's funny you have to grind "their" swaybar to fit "their" endlinks with out rubbing. I have heard the same issues with popping about their endlinks. Most people had to send them back for then to work on them. Have you called them yet?

i had the popping issue when i got my new rear endlinks. I sent them back 3 effing times before they finally got it right. idiots! They didn't beleive me and probably didn't even fix them, but told me they did. but they were loud as hell until i got them back for the 3rd time. now they have been quiet ever since. but then again you probably shouldn't be putting them to a grinder either!

What would it take to get another copy of the FMIC install instructions. Not sure what I did with mine.
