Default GM6 RS with EJ20 swap

i hav a 2000 2.5 RS SRP 2 door with an ej20 swap. the car is 90% finished but i don't hav the time or the money to finish it.

ok so now for the problems it has. better to get them outa the way first to weed out the anyone who isn't really interested.

small downward bend in front of hood just above grill, not readily noticeable, no paint damage.

rolled fenders caused paint to chip and slight surface rust on each fender lip underneith, easily sanded and sealed until car is repainted

trunk is wingless not but had wing so there are mounting holes in trunk, no rust, no water damange in trunk skin or interior

the front drivers caliper bracket has a broken bolt in it due to sitting in the rain for a month and then trying to put new brakes on. that will need to be replaced but i hav 4 new slotted rotora rotors and axxis pads for all 4 corners that will be incuded with that car.

the car is in some sort of limp mode. it revs to 4500 rpm but up til then it drives and boosts just fine (i did a short 2 minute test drive after everything was back together and hasn't been driven since, just started and warmed up every week).

the OBD port won't communicate, i believe i may have pinched the communication wire when i put the ac/heater boxes back in behind the dash bar.

the fuel gauge reads E all the time and the temp guage reads H all the time. i know there's fuel and i'm almost positive the engine is running at a proper opperating temp. i've been working on cars for a long time and work for toyota so i know by the temp of rad hoses and such whether a car is too hot or cold.

dash bar is not completely bolted in yet, and dash skin has not been reinstalled, wanted to try and fix electrical problems first. back seats are also not in due to harnesses but will be included with car and are in mint condition.

i havn't had time to test anything like sensors or continuity of certain wires yet due to a heavy work schedule but hitokiri and i will be doing a lot of electrical testing while he's home over xmas break.

so the possibility of the car being fixed is still good in which case i will still probably sell it but the price will go up as it will then be a fully functioning, legal ej20 swapped RS, rather than a project with problems or a parts car for other projects/swaps.

SO! with all that outa the way here's the parts list i'm sure most of you opened this for.

-2003 wrx motor, ecu, wiring harness, fsb, xmember, lower control arms, do
controller (approx 15k miles on motor, approx 58k miles on odometer)
-walbro 255 fp
-sti v8 intake manifold
-CEL fixed TGV delete
-Meagan racing stainless 4-1 header and up pipe with flex sextion between
collector and up pipe
-stromung stainless divorced down pipe
-stromung 3" high flow metal substrate cat
-SPT 3" stainless car back (bosal)
-down stream O2 CEL delete
-new upstream O2
-v6 grill
-v6 replica front lip, rear spats, fog covers
-ACT street clutch (pressure plate and disc) approx. 20k miles on clutch
-kartboy short shifter and bushings
-razo WR style black leather/red stitch round shift knob
-PIAA super plasma GTX head bulbs
-PIAA super plasma GT fog bulbs
-stock 6 spoke 16" aluminum wheels with falken azenis 215/45's
-JIC FLT-A2RS coilovers with 7k springs, rebuild and polished @ JIC approx 10k
miles ago
-corbeau 4 point bolt in harnesses
-initial K indiglo white gauge faces with red light up 2.5RS on tach
-autometer phantom boost and egt gauges in 2 pocket a-pillar pod (egt not
hooked up, module included but needs probe and wire)
-wrx sport pedals
-new driver's side steering knuckle, wheel bearing, wheel hub

this is all off the top of my head so if i remember more i'll ad it asap.

i'm looking for someone in the market for a project car. like i said i will make an attempt to figure out the electrical problems. until then i'm looking to get enough to pay off the loan on the car. approximately $7000. i know some people may see this as high but its what i believe is fair concidering what i could strip and part the car for. i will take down payments to hold the car for anyone but will need payment in full before anything can happen. its not possible to turn over the loan payments to someone so i'd need the money to pay off the loan and then once the paper work goes through i would turn over the title to the new owner. i have AAA plus and as long as its within the towing milage i'd be willing to cover the transport of the vehicle to the new owner.

in the event that hitokiri and i are able to get the car running the way it should, i will fix the brakes, install the rest of the dash, get it inspected and probably still sell it but will be looking to get around $10,000.

pictures can be found here http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/slamdr.../ph//my_photos
some of the pictures are old, disassembling the car with the old hybrid motor setup, with the old wing on, etc. but the descriptions should be fairly self explainatory.

feel free to contact me on here, through pm's, my aim is AWDriver555, my email is [email protected], or you can call my cell at 9787294140. prices are negotiable to a degree and i'm always willing to answer any questions about the car. thanks for looking and your interest.

a little update, i havn't heard from hitokiri and i'm not sure when exactly he's supposed to be back so a new plan of action was brainstormed today with my WMIC boys. i'll be bringing the car to them once i get a tow sorted out and match up my days off with an open spot in their shop's schedule. i was assured by james that the problems i hav sound like nothing more than your average swap bugs and they'd be able to sort it out in the end. lets pray he's right.

Ground the Black with Red wire to the fuel pump and that should fix your fuel gauge.

ground the black with red wire to the fuel pump? you mean ground it TO the fuel pump or the black with red wire TO the fuel pump, ground it anywhere? just clarifying. i'll try that tomorrow after work.

adam555, i'm glad you like it lol. i want to keep it too, i just can't really justify it anymore.

just to clarify also for everyone, selling it as is, is not what i'd like to do. its a last resort if i can't get the electrical problems sorted out. i'd rather get it finished so i can sell it as a complete car and not hafta get the vaseline out selling it for $7k. so i'll be sure to keep this updated as to when i'm bringing it to springfield and how it goes down there.

thanks for looking everyone.

ok here's an update. the care is all done, it will be ready for daily driving in the next week. i just need to get the alignment sorted out and get an inspection sticker.

i've only had a couple people interested in the car, but for anyone else who was concidering this purchase here's the bad news. i will not be selling it. after going through my finances i realized it would be really tight trying to get a new car so now that my RS is back to life i'm going to be holding on to it. besides i have so many unrealized plans for it, it would be a shame to stop now. sorry to those who may be dissapointed, and thank you to everyone who showed support and interest. be sure to check out the i need pictures of pimp gc8's thread for my upcoming pics.
