Eric:

My Stage 0 should be here sometime next week. Do you remember what the stock wheel HP #'s are? I'll do a search too but thought you might have the info handy for comparison purposes.

BTW, thanks for sharing the AWD dyno info.

Hi Eric,

I'm finally back in the US Glad to see those numbers. However, Stage Zero cars should be making peak hp at around 6000-6200rpm, not at a low 5300rpm. The car is probably down a bit from where it should be. Email me your air-fuel ratio graph and I'll remap the Unichip accordingly. My guess is that the car is running too rich up top due to the silicon hose upgrade. Pretty easy to fix with the right info.

Cheers,
shiv

PS. And then expect another 30-35 wheel hp with our turbo-back

That just did it for me.

I was undecided on what kit to get but was leaning toward a vishnu.

Seeing Shiv post on here willing to add on a customers car and interested in gains makes me really want to go with him now.

I'll be purchasing my kit very soon.

I have to say those are some high peak #'s for such few mods!

What's with the big dip at 4250rpm?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty impressed with Alex's results. Pretty good for a non-unichipped (or fuel/timing controlled) car if you ask me. He definately has the edge down low, but falls off a little at the top (compared to the Vishnu setup).

You're not the only one, JB. I couldn't believe that my car put down so much whp without any fuel adjustments. The car is running so rich after 4250 RPM, that it's off the scale (under 10:1) on their wideband O2, but those are the true numbers, as it did it consistently on 3 consecutive pulls.

Like the other guys already said, Pruven is a very professional, incredibly clean shop. We spoke with some of the mechanics and the owner, who also does the tuning, and I have no doubt that these guys do excellent work and will be working great tuning magic on WRXs in the near future. Their rates for installation and tuning are also very reasonable considering what I have seen lesser shops charging. I mean, they actually charge less!

We also had Javier from CT there. I don't recall his screen name, but he had a Turbo XS tuned Unichip, along with some other mods and he put down some nice numbers. Also a very nicely modded (appearance + power) car.

Default Oh, We forgot one more guy,,

Javier from CT:

Javier pulled a 205hp and 206torque.

His mods
TX UNICHIP with stage 1 (265ph)

AEM Coldair intake.

HKS TI cat back.

After seeing first hand diffrences between my car and Javier's I very happy I went with Stage 0 over TX stage 1.

Javier it was a pleasure meeting you, Keep intouch.

All in all great day and Alex was the king of the dyno 4/20/2002!!!
Good job man, at least we now have a good understanding about airflow. 3in is the only was to go!!

I think that's good enough evidence for me that a larger exhaust system doesn't mean loss of the low-end on the wrx. I mean, come on, look at both dyno graphs at 3.0krpm. He's got about 20hp over you!
