Default FREE Brake Fluid Group Buy!!!!

UPDATE!!!!

The time for deposits is now done.

If you are on the list then you need to make final payment.

To make that payment click here.

************************************************** *********

That's right - free brake fluid!

Here's the deal, buy a set of our new Titanium brake shims for your STi brembos or Subaru 4-pots and you will get two bottles of Brembo LCF 600+ brake fluid.

No tiered pricing on this one, but we do need a list of people to know what we're looking at to get in the fluid and more shims made. Thus why the list.

Here's some details from our site:

Here's what you will get:
  • One set of TiC Ti Brake shims for your front brakes
  • Two bottles of Brembo LCF 600+ brake fluid
  • You end up saving $36 bucks on this deal (each bottle of LCF is $18)

About the shims:
  • Made by TiC
  • 1mm thick
  • Ti-6
  • Offers a VERY low coefficient of heat transfer (which is why they work)

About the fluid:
  • Made by Brembo
  • 10% reduction in brake fluid compressibility at 350* F
  • Dry boiling point of 601* F
  • Wet boiling point of 399* F
  • Each bottle is 500mL
  • Compatible with DOT3 & DOT4 fluids

Here are the rules:
  • Open to US shipping addresses
  • Shipping in the US is free
  • This group buy will close at Noon EST on 9/10/09
  • The group buy will be managed and the list maintained on NASIOC in the group buy area
  • A deposit is required. No deposit, and you're not on the list
  • No orders will ship until the close of the group buy
  • If we should happen to run out of parts we will get more made, and on the way to you ASAP
  • Total final price will be $100 what you are looking at right now is the deposit of $50 which gets you on the list

Well I can see them helping in a few ways.

1) They will reduce the heat transfer between the pad and the caliper, thus increasing the performance and reducing boiling of fluid.

2) It will move the pads a bit closer to the rotor just out of the box. This will make braking slightly quicker

3) have you ever noticed when your brakes get really hot it pushes the pistons all the way into the caliper? This is a partial fix for this because of the above 2 reasons.

4) It most likely will also reduce chatter, and make your pads quieter.

All and all it looks like an awesome product. The price seems a bit steep, but I may be in. I would love to test them out on my time attack car / autoX car. I have had problems with heat transfer in the past and I can see this insulating the calipers a bit more. Good idea guys!

I dont have this brand of ti shims.. but they do work.

a buddy of mine was boiling his fluid every track event.. and i finally talked him into getting a set, and he hasnt boiled since..

now this might have also been because maybe he changed his braking techniques.. but they do work and is cheap insurance.

oh not to mention.. after use.. they turn all purple and blue, bling bling that no one will ever see.

Most Ti shims are closer to 150 or higher.

The shims by themselves are 100, which is why 36 bucks of good brake fluid for free is pretty good.

Do you have shims for the rears as well? I know most the heat is up front but I am just curious, like to be symmetrical you know. (That is in no way a pun on Subaru's Symmetrical All Wheel Drive.)
