How low are you to be scraping? That might be your problem.

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question but can you comment on how you like the Corsa CBE? I am likely deciding between that and the AWE Touring CBE.
Some people say it's slightly louder than stock when cruising while I've seen a few say it's even quieter for example in this post. Also how much louder than stock is the Corsa when going WOT? Thanks! |

I just received the AWE Tuning catback exhaust in the mail. I opted to go with the touring edition, chrome silver tips.
I'll be posting a review here soon once I get it installed. |

Please do. I’m torn between this and Corsa. Want to be “stock cold start” when warm and a little louder when under heavy throttle. Don’t want to piss off neighbors when I start the car at 515am tho.

The AWE unit seems pretty nice from all the pictures/videos I've seen of it.
After about a year and a half of having my current exhaust (Cobb CBE), I'm getting the itch to add a jpipe to it as well...currently on the fence about it since I'd have to get it re-tuned. Then again, it'll give me a reason (excuse) to buy some other go-fast bits at the same time while I'm at it |

I'm curious to know how much louder the Track edition is over the Touring for the AWE CBE. I don't want anything that drones a lot and is obnoxiously loud but it doesn't sound that bad in the videos I've watched. It also helps save $300 haha.

You can expect just having only a resonator to be able to wake the dead. If you daily drive your car use mufflers and a resonator. Your future 80 yr old self will thank you some day.

Recently I've been craving something loud but not obnoxious. I don't drive my car too much, only ~3500km since I got it and most of that is city driving.
AWE Tuning apparently offers a conversion kit which should make it simple enough to go from muffler deletes to mufflers or vice versa. This might be enough for me to start off with the Track edition. Of course, I'll wait for a review on the Touring edition so I can get an idea of how loud it is. I also need to figure out where to get a good deal on this exhaust to get it shipped to Canada. |

I installed my AWE Touring exhaust last night. I love the sound. When you get on it, you get plenty of exhaust note. On downshifts you get some nice popping/crackling, but not obnoxious. Cruising on the highway at 65mph is only a little louder than stock which is really good in my opinion. The fit of the exhaust is perfect. It was a super easy install.

AWE Touring has been on my radar and I'm looking for something that has a deep, audible rumble at idle but isn't deafening on cold starts. Not sure how I'm going to find a system with those two characteristics combined but I'll find what I'm looking for eventually. Also seems foolish to me to spend $1000-$1500 on an exhaust system that sounds indistinguishably similar. |

It is significantly louder at idle. I leave for work at 5:30am and it's not so loud that I worry about waking the neighborhood. Cold start is a little bit louder, but here in Arizona, cold starts aren't really that cold (it was 100F in my garage this morning). Spirited driving is where I really love the sound. It's a lot louder than stock with a tone that sounds really good to my ear.

On the wrx, if you rate the stock exhaust as a 3, Q300 at 4, then I would give this a 6 in volume overall. At least for the touring version, track would probably be a 9 or 10. It is noticeable louder, but the tone is so good. It is definitely a welcomed sound all the time. Not much louder than stock when you’re cruising too, no drone for me.

That's how I feel too. Loud, but it's a good loud. I find myself wanting to hear it rather than cringing. It's a sound you can listen too all day. At least I can. ***55357;***56832;

My q300 is wonderful. However my OCD wont accept the fact that the tips are not perfectly centered to the exhaust cutouts in the rear bumper.
I have taken it to an exhaust shop who loosened everything and tried to adjust it but as soon as the bolts are tight the tips go right back to being wonky. Anybody know of any kind of adjustable exhaust hangers available that would give me adjustment? Should I take everything off and try to bend the piping into shape? |

Grimmspeed and I think Shift Solutions are the only 2 companies that I know of who make them. You may have to have the piping cut and welded to have the mufflers perfectly centered. That’s the reason why I went single exit. I could never get the dual mufflers to line up perfectly. Plus the weight savings is nice too |

I went with the AWE Track Edition with black tips on my STI. I have only gotten to do some around town driving and semi-spirited driving. Man does this sound amazing!! It is extremely loud though when you are on it and my car is all stock besides this motor-wise. At start up, it isn't too bad noise wise but has that really deep rumble we all want. I would say if stock is a 3, cold start is a 6, warm idle is a 5, and getting on it is definitely a 10 or 11. When you drive it and step on it, you definitely know it. The small highway cruise I did do with it, it seems very reasonable though and no drone. I will be going on a 2.5 hour small road trip this upcoming weekend and will update after that with some videos and pictures. If you are worried about the noise, go with the touring though. If you want to really enjoy the sound of these motors and want to unleash it, get the track edition.
Took about 30 minutes to bolt this entire thing on minus the exhaust tips which took another 20 minutes since I tried to get them perfectly centered(there is some wiggle room before you snug them down). This was with the car just on 2 jack stands. I will also comment on the quality in the updated post too. |

I am strongly considering this edition but for my WRX. I want a deep, loud exhaust when you step on it but worried about the cruising noise. How much louder is your Track Edition when cruising vs stock for your STI? Based on the other posts the Touring Edition is about the same as stock when cruising. |
